Best of luck. For what it is worth I ordered my RCSB just after you ordered yours (4/27 - atlas blue -103a- hard tonneau cover-black running boards-chrome exhaust tips) , also did not get the 45 day email. Per phone call to Ford my status is 'unscheduled - clean' .

You asked what folks thought. 1. It is what you think that matters. 2. None of your planned mods would be worthwhile to me unless I found the stock seats uncomfortable.

For anyone near Louisville Kentucky, Carriage Ford‘s website shows a silver RCSB on the lot. No options. I would buy it if I knew that what I have on order will not be built . I have no connection to, and almost zero experience with the dealership.

Anyone's guess I suppose. If more 24 RCSB builds aren't in the works you would think that they would not be updating the options on the ordering website and that they would be notifying those of us that have trucks on order. I've also received nothing but the received order email (April order).

I'm wondering what that could really do for one of these. Seems like given the weight balance it would be hard to do much of anything with the extra horsepower? Not saying it wouldn't be cool to have.

Depends. Accident happens during low light conditions and/or while raining, lawyer shows jury of 12 a picture of the view under those conditions. Jury decides?

In the event that someone's loved one was injured by a driver with an illegally tinted windshield it seems like a reasonably skilled lawyer could bankrupt the driver. Do as you will, not judging, just sayin.

I had a Ford racing sport exhaust (made by borla) on my mustang 5.0. Loved the sound, got a lot of compliments on the sound and a guy that knew me rolled down his window so he could really hear me when I passed and then told me about it later. In your example you are making the assumption that Ford keeps the transmission ratios and shift points identical regardless of the rear end ratio. That might be a valid assumption, I just do not know. It seems reasonable that their may be a significant cost advantage to keeping the hard parts...

I have wondered how things work out. I get it that the 3.73 works nice as a torque amplifier for hauling heavy loads but I don't know if the transmission does or does not keep the overall gearing about the same for just gettin-er-done with a lightly loaded vehicle.

Would be interesting to know how the 5.0 feels in a 2wd rcsb, not sure if reducing weight by 600 pounds or so will do much for seat of the pants feel but curious.

I'm very happy with griots spray on ceramic wax, wipes off easy, doesn't mark rubber, beads nicely for more than a year, looks good enough for me. I give it a wash and a wax coat, wait 12-24 hours & hit it with a second wax coat, done till next year.

As of last week I was told that the status of my order was "unscheduled - clear" , I think "clear" was the word they used it might have been clean or another adjective. Regardless, my order is for a RCSB with the 5.0 so I'm think "clear" , or whatever, suggests that the 5.0 is not a hold up...

If there was rhyme or reason to the ordering process my "unscheduled, clean" status RCSB would be scheduled next week then. Not holding my breath.

I'm forming the opinion that the safest way to protect nuclear launch codes would be to give them to Ford and ask Ford to share them with the people who have unfilled orders. On the bright side after a phone call or two I found out that my order status is "unscheduled, clear" so I guess there...
