Hi all,

I am hoping someone may have had a similar rattle and was able to fix it. I have a rattle somewhere around the drivers A-pillar. I cannot make it go away by press on parts of the dash/a-pillar or door. I am not sure I want to take the pillar trim apart for fear of air bags (if there is one there). Suggestions?

Took that piece off tonight. Both nuts were very tight. The bolt holding the door panel was snug, but not overly tight. I tighten it a little more. I lost one of the white plastic clips but the piece popped back on and seemed secure enough.

I did remove the trim around the drivers air vent near the window and found the Christmas tree plug bent and mangled. It looked to me like it did not seat into its socket in the trim properly during assembly. I bent it back straight and “fluffed” the branches, then made certain it went into the socket.

That white push clip is $4.13 each, but you have to buy a pack of 4. The same for the plastic clip that holds the triangular trim on the door.

Did the work you describe above eliminate the rattle?
