I had the same issue until my wiper motor was replaced under the recall. 2021 XLT 302A

I had the same issue. They inspected my wiper motor for the recall. Said the part number I have isn’t the mandatory replace motor but said if it fails in the future it’ll be replaced. They also inspected my wiper arms for a separate recall which failed their inspection (I’m glad they changed them since I told them they’ve been smacking the A pillar regardless of adjustment) they haven’t hit the A pillar since.

Mine just started recently. I already adjusted my wipers as low as I can and it will still hit randomly. Could it be a bad wiper motor?

I fixed the problem with a piece of rubber and a bench screw vise, bent it toward the passenger and everything perfect, no marks or damage.

Follow up, took the truck in for the recall on the wiper motor. Dealership replace motor and issue went away. Tech told me the motor had play causing it to travel further then needed too. Now the wipers align with the marking on the window and stops about 1 1/2 inches from the pillar.

Ummm my motor’s passed the diagnostic so not change was made on the recall, they only changed me the arms bc some scratches.

Crazy they told me my truck didn't have the recall for the wiper arm but for the motor it did and when I told them about hitting the pillar they went ahead replaced it regardless if it fail the diagnosis since I was experiencing that issue with the pillar.
