GSM replaced as well for me. So far 3 days and no powertrain warnings. Ford engineering are still looking into the 0% oil life issue. They cleared the warning and it has not been an issue since. Love the truck, hope we go issue free for a long time.

UPDATE: Since I got my truck back with no diagnosis I have driven about 200 miles no problem then yesterday I drove from Maryland to Virginia Beach. Went to an automated car wash and it happened again. Both times I got the fault has been after leaving a car wash that sprays the undercarriage. Once it has time to dry the fault goes away have contacted the dealer waiting to see what ford says.
Maybe stop with the carwash?

I got the truck back after 2 weeks at Ford. So far only drove it 100 miles since the fix was done, no car wash. Did file initial lemon law with state. Will have it ready to go again as I didn’t meet requirements. Kinda knew I didn’t but was just pissed at the whole situation. Makes me weary that mine was washed and detailed the day I picked it up from dealer and right out of the lot my dashboard lit up with the same warnings as some of you are posting. Guess it’s allergic to water, very disappointing.

2021 F 150 Limited Poowerboost 1250 miles. I was making a u-turn when I went to accelerate it barely moved for like 20 seconds or so then it drove ok for about 3 blocks got the truck washed, then as I restarted the truck got the service vehicle soon, and the little wrench icon. It appeared to be driving fine on the 20 mile trip home.

Ford Pass:
Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power
The powertrain control system has
detected a fault in the High Voltage system

Off to the dealer Monday
were you able to get this resolved? My new Powerboost with 1500 miles is now doing The same thing after going through a car wash.

Hey all.
Just bought a brand new 2022 F150 Platinum Powerboost. I think it had like 16 miles on it when I drove off the lot. Didn't put but 80 additional miles on it before the first problem.
I'll try and keep this short - early one morning, I drove off to work - during a mild snow event. Thought to myself - great time to test out the 4-wheel drive mode. Switched the drive mode to Snow/Sand -essentially 4w-hi. I needed to, the side roads were about 5in of snow. Then I quickly see a "on board power fault" message on the screen - asking me if I wanted to reset - I opted to do nothing and it seemed like in a split second the message was gone - my focus was elsewhere obviously.
Then right afterwards I see an check engine light on the dash. Wasn't thinking a happy thought at that moment but figured I'd look into once i get to work - after all the truck was driving fine and saw no other issue.

Once I get to work I check Ford Pass and it reads : powertrain malfunction/reduced power

I call the dealer and my salesman seemed confused and said check it again in 24hr and see if it clears. I thought that was a funny answer but brushed it aside and went back to work. On the way home, sure enough the code was gone and it drove fine the whole way back. Drove the truck for about 20 mile the next day (SAT) and no codes.
But back to work Monday morning, the code came back (this time dry roads). found it odd it came back at the exact spot as last time (about 1000ft from my house). But this time the code stayed on the whole day - Took it the dealer the following day.

They seemed flustered and confused, but about 24hours later they finally told me that they found and ordered a bad GEAR SHIFT MODULE. It would take about 5days to get. Currently driving a loaner.

I went from a Mercedes to my first F150, to say that right now I'm regretting that decision is an understatement.
were you able to get this resolved? My new truck is having the exact same issue.

I just had this happen to my 2022 F-150 Powerboost yesterday morning. It wasn't all that cold, in the mid 40s, but had rained earlier in the morning. I was low on fuel and parked on an incline pointed downhill. It was remote started, came out to the truck about 10 minutes later and it wouldn't turn on. The start button just kept blinking and gave me the stop safely now message and a High-Voltage Battery Warning in FordPass.

About 20 minutes later I tried again and it started up, headed to the gas station to fill up thinking that might be what it was. When I got back in the truck after refueling, it gave me two errors (powertrain malfunction and trailer brake controller failure) and the service now light (wrench symbol) was lit. After about a minute on my way home the wrench light went out and hasn't come back after driving the truck two more times for a total of about 20 miles.

I'm taking it in to the dealer tomorrow to get it looked at, truck only has 1,000 miles on it.

Hello, I am the owner of a 2021 powerboost as well. After the dealer had done some service work on my EV hybrid battery, they had to disconnect the drivetrain, drain the coolant and put everything back together. They also did a massive update that took over three hours in softwareuodates to IPMA. I drove the vehicle less than 200 miles after all of this was done, never had one issue previous to this, and now I am receiving the same error.
I am completely disgusted as with 16,000 miles of driving. I’ve never had an issue and now I think they did not replace things correctly. I now have

same issues that everybody’s having on this forum. Utterly disgusted at might have to resolve it by going lemon law.

If you can send me your vin. I can get a look at what is going on. I can see the codes that exist. I can get a better picture of what is going on. I dont know the reason they updated the IPMA. They should have done 5 modules along with it. If they only did the IPMA they could have caused a software mismatch issue.

He all, i just got a CEL on my 21 and this is what it said: "the powertrain control module has detected an electrical concern with the supply voltage for some Powertrain sensors"
Has anyone else had this happen to them? I already made a appointment with my Ford Dealership. Any information would help. Thanks.

I have a 2023 with 237 miles that this has happened 4 times to. It has been to the dealer twice, and still not resolved. Anyone know definitively what is causing this and what the fix is?

Update: As of July 2023 I was still having the PowerTrain Malfunction when the truck got wet. On July 18 it was determine they had to replace the Hybrid battery, since the replacement I have had no issues.

I bought a 2023 Powerboost last Friday 10/6/23 and have had this failure 4 times since then. The vehicle is currently at the dealer in Saline Michigan awaiting direction from Ford. based on the amount of posts on this forum and some Facebook groups for Powerboost owners, I am not the only one having this issue. Can you please advise if this is a known issue and what the status is of a fix... I have owned three Silverados in a row, and made the switch to Ford. I hope I do not regret that decision.
