We recently bought a trailer that runs on 30 amps. We had ordered a PowerBoost with the 7.2k inverter, but it did not come in on time, so we bought a ‘23 with the 2.4 off the lot. The issue is that there doesn’t seem to be anyone who sells a 20-to-30 amp adapter. I can use a 15-to-30, but of course that means losing 5 amps, potentially the difference between being able to run an AC (with a soft start) and not. Anyone have any experience with this, or any thoughts? Thanks.

This is likely what you want
https://www.amazon.com/CircleCord-Generator-Adapter-L14-30P-Trailer/dp/B08RBNCLTB

Or if you need to power 2 RVs
https://www.amazon.com/Parkworld-60646-Splitter-Generator-Receptacle/dp/B07P4DFX5H

Edit --oops saw you got suckered into a 2.4. Replace it with a 7.2kW unit. I've got the parts / instructions around here somewhere.

This should work with your 20A panel. https://www.amazon.com/Parkworld-88...lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=A2565OKC78981M&th=1

I used to run a 13.5K AC with a soft starter on a Honda 2000 watt generator but it was a tight. You need to be careful to watch other loads, like the converter. You’ll have a bit more headroom with the PB but the PB is less forgiving. As soon as you hit 20 amps, it’ll kick off—no wiggle room—because the breakers are electronic.

Thanks. Not sure that male will fit the inverter, but I’ll double check. Yeah, really wanted the 7.2k but just wasn’t to be.

It won’t fit. The 2.4kW PB does not have a 30A socket.

Swap inverters if you want the 7.2kW.

I have a Winnebago View and am able to run the A/C (also with a soft start) on normal 15amp circuit. I know not all A/C's will act the same, but it's worth a try!
