Do we have one? If not, has anybody added one? Trying to add cooling capacity somehow, and cooling engine oil is just another way of skinning the cat.

Thoughts?

Unless you do a lot of highway/towing I would think that running an oil cooler would very likely be counter productive for a hybrid. Well at least when it's switching into and out of electric mode that is. with surface street driving oil temps on hybrids simply do not get as hot as they do on non-hybrids. This can potentially lead to increased fuel dilution as the engine oil fails to reach burn off temps that allow for diluted fuel and water to boil off and be pulled out by the PCV system.

Also not 100% sure but I want to say one of the only ways to add one to the 3.5L is with something like this adapter (if there's room for it) but still would need to source a heat exchanger, mounting kit and lines.

Might be better off putting a larger radiator for the transmission and an aluminum deep sump pan than an engine oil cooler.

There's an oil/water one on the filter.

Just trying to find some way to get rid of more heat to the air. If I can add a thermostatic air cooled oil cooler I'm dumping engine heat one way or another. I do agree a larger radiator is the easiest, just not so sure one's available.

Only drawback is high/hot/heavy (or aero drag and higher speed).

Still haven't heard why the bigger rad doesn't fit the PB.
