Probably a stupid question, but I cannot find how to import the STG file in my iPhone iOS OBD link app. Could someone please direct me? I downloaded a file and it is saved in my folder ready to import. Thanks.

Don't feel dumb. It took me a lot of poking around to find it - it wasn't intuitive to me, and I've worked in software 20+ years.

In settings, hit 'menu' on the top right and there will be an option to import settings.

If you're using iCloud, it will create a folder structure - drop the .stg file into the import folder.

You should be able to import at that point.

Thanks. I saved in my files, so I should be able to import from there. Working on it now.

Import from Files did not work. Re-saved to ICloud, import folder, worked perfectly. Thanks.

I duped @turbopilot PB1.4 and changed the colors to what I see as matching my 8" dash in Normal driving mode. Here it is for you Droids like me. Don't forget to rename to .STG.

If you wanna use true Ford vehicle colors, check out https://encycolorpedia.com/c8bfb9 .

So for the first time I imported someone else's stg file.

So it was IPhone > Android, in this case.
I chose ONLY to "overwrite dashboard"

An almost perfect import and even the screen scaling was great. Not to mention perfect pid mapping.

Sweeeeet! I now get to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Thank you good sir.

Worked out well for an iPhone -> Android import. Just a few formatting glitches.

A question for you gurus of OBD, if you don't mind. I've imported a couple of different dashboards thanks to @turbopilot, @Snakebitten, and @ReverendQ (!!) and each one has several of the readouts (pids??) with no data displayed. Is this something I'm doing wrong during the import files process or something else?

Long press on the gauge, then choose "Display Configuration"

Ford F-150 PowerBoost 1.5 - We Need More Than Idiot Lights Screenshot_20230916_143346

Then press "Item"

Look for the Blue lettering and press there

That will get you to the correct module that hosts the PID. Press it

Scroll until you find the correct pid and make sure it's checked. Then save (click done) your choice

however onboard ship the CHT letters refer to chemical holding tanks or chit with a s for short
that cracked me up seeing CHT at 160 degrees bet it smelled like a hot diaper in a car in summer time

but still
those displays are kiiler

Thank you, @Snakebitten! Your instructions are very clear but but do not lead me to the same choices you seem to have. I wonder, could there more pids that I need to download?

I first notice, first of all, that the Item is showing up in "RED"??

Then the "Blue Lettering" is not there. And then on the subsequent page there is no corresponding Blue Checkmark?

Hmmmm

So if you are trying to map a gauge called "Battery Voltage", and it's the Low Voltage (12V) battery, you should see if you can drill down to this:

Ford F-150 PowerBoost 1.5 - We Need More Than Idiot Lights Screenshot_20230916_154417

Then select Ford/Lincoln/Mercury even if there's nothing in blue preselected

Ford F-150 PowerBoost 1.5 - We Need More Than Idiot Lights Screenshot_20230916_154430

Then select BCM

Ford F-150 PowerBoost 1.5 - We Need More Than Idiot Lights Screenshot_20230916_154439

Then select Battery Voltage and "Done"

You just mapped the gauge to the PID you desired it to monitor
