I updated my APIM, GWM & ACM last weekend via FDRS. My Sync show 23167 Rev 926. It is not showing on Ford.ca or Fordpass.
Fordpass pass does not have the ability to report your Sync version. Since you made the updates with FDRS, Fordpass will not show that an update has been made because it wasn't installed via, OTA. ford.ca or in my case ford.com nolonger shows your sync version either since the recent revamping of the owners site page.

This link will show the vehicles current sync version based on VIN, if it doesn't work, I would think that there is an equivalent to it on the Canadian side of things.

4.3.6 installed this afternoon on my 2021. The SYNC version is now 23167 r. 926
Interestingly, no notification of download appeared on the top status bar in the truck, and there was no notification of update on restart either. Fordpass notification was as expected for an OTA and this is actually how a knew the OTA had been installed.
This installed for me tonight.

Never had any notification there was an update ready to download.
I'm familiar with it now, screen goes all funky for a few seconds and pops up the download icon.
I know APIM doesn't need truck off to install but I have not seen an update just install itself without seeing notification on truck screen.

Had notice show on my phone nearly two hours after I arrived at home so now I'm wondering if it actually downloaded an update from WiFi? ?

When I install my APIM via FDRS - It was 1.2 gb and used a USB stick. That is a big update to load OTA. The GWM update was 1gb and also used the USB stick.

In my case it most certainly downloaded via. cellular connection as this installed when I was far from home, the only place the truck has an opportunity to connect to wifi. Agreed, it was a non typical install, for some reason the download and install notifications did not appear in the truck. I to had about a 2 hour window before receiving the Fordpass notification. This always seems to be the ultimate confirmation of a successful OTA install as vehicle reports back to Ford cloud servers the OTA status.

I don't know if it takes very long to report the status.
When I was doing FDRS updates early in year it took less than a minute for FordPass to ding and tell me I had Alexa added.

I suppose it could take two hours to install an APIM update OTA.
I've only done APIM updates over USB and that is usually a quick process.

This is my second OTA that actually worked, so I'm impressed. :)

Your correct, the ota status is reported back to the Ford cloud with in seconds of the successful ota, but there's a latency in passing the successful install from the ota servers to the customer side Fordpass servers.

Yes, FDRS gives you an almost instantaneous response within Fordpass for connected services.

During my last 4.2.x SYNC/ APIM update 23031 , I actually talked to rugedraw while the ota installed. He watched from the Ford side on PTS while a told him what i was seeing in the truck. The OTA trigger was sent at 11 am on that morning, we agreed I would start the truck and contact each other at 4pm. So at 4pm we we're talking to each other and I started the truck. Setting off the OTA trigger, the 16 APIM files downloaded via cell connection in about 6 minutes. The install took another 4 minutes. All of which he could see in PTS, in the meantime the status in the truck showed the the update had been installed. At almost the same moment rugedraw saw the same in PTS. So these updates can actually install faster than in FDRS, if they don't fail for multiple reasons. But still Fordpass didn't notify me for at least an hour after the update installed. ;)

This is the split screen view, not really PIP as the update mentions.
Excuse the crappy view have morning dew on cameras.
I have bed camera on the left, and the usually split trailer backup view on right.

That is the Ford.com link I use to check Sync versions (you can use it for your own VIN or any VIN you like) and I found that version 23167 was not properly reporting for my VIN. Unlike with previous Sync versions, the link now reports only that my truck has Sync IV. Version information is missing. That is still the case for me, three weeks after the install. Is 23167 actually showing on Ford.com for you?

I did the APIM update with FDRS 2 nights ago. PTS is still showing my Sync version is blank. After the APIM, a GWM popped up right away (equivalent to 6.1.0) and I did that one. I was expecting another GWM to pop up (6.2.0), but it never did. Rebooted FDRS and the laptop and scanned again, still no GWM update. Not really worried about it, though......I'm sure it'll pop up.

Edit: Just checked Ford.com - Sync version not listed there as well.
This is helpful. There seems to be a problem with 23167 not reporting properly, at least for some of us.

Is Ford.com similarly failing to show the Sync version?

I've never used the site since I have PTS, but I checked for the heck of it, and it shows no Sync version there, either. I assumed that would be the case as the site probably gets its info from PTS.

That’s what I was expecting as well. Thanks for confirming. I don’t know if Ford.com is getting it’s information from PTS, but if not, it’s getting it’s information from the same place.
