If it won't self test then yeah, seen it half a dozen times already. Even the latest DSM update won't fix it. Doesn't matter if it's F150 or F250 boards. I tried, when the DSM gets updated and won't self test w/out overdriving the motors it's done.

I had a similar issue after the update with fdrs. Not 5 seconds, that’s a long time but maybe a second. Self test didn’t work until I re-ran it with all doors closed. Maybe give that try.

Have you tried to run the DSM self test in Forscan? That will run through everything and calibrate them.
hey guys, reading PRB self-test posts

JustinR2106: "...performed a self test to relearn the running boards..."
Paul Neubauer: "...I ran the self test in Forscan and also in FDRS..."

can someone wlak me thru step-by-step how exactly to do that?

i'm having prb issues & have been told to
"calibrate the PRB and that is done with a self test"
"The test you are after would most likely be a PRB / RBM module self test"

but i'm so new & lost, i can't quite figure this all out
thx

I'm jumping on this bandwagon now too. I updated all modules via fdrs on my 2021 a couple of months ago and noticed the running board motors running for a bit after extending and retracting. Wish I saw this thread before the update. The self test didnt fix it for me either.

just for clarification... i was hoping those who have done the "prb calibration via self test on forscan" can walk me thru the steps - i'm a newbie & am trying to figure this stuff all out but need a boost.
i was told the prb calibration self test was in the "wrench" section of forscan but that is all the farther i've gottne so far
