Interesting so how did they go about saying they would do it for you? Like $1300 plus the cost of parts?
I think that is parts and labor. I did not do it yet, but I talked to my dealer twice about it and that is what they quoted.

Side note: nice truck you have there, I built a 2024 platinum super duty tremor with 6.7 HO - loaded was $102,000! (0-60 in 5.5 seconds)

hmm that seems cheap but if they do it great! I’m gonna call me dealer tomorrow.

i love my truck. That should be an amazing truck once you get it! There are some aftermarket options for a front camera and some bed cameras. I don’t really need the 360 it’s more of just being able to pull forward as far as I can since it’s such a long vehicle and I want to make sure I’m maximizing space.

Re: loaded HO Diesel tremor 250 --- I just built it for giggles. Not going to get it, I still have a brand new 2021 XLT... Going to keep it for 15 years....

Re: 360 Camera, post up here what they quoted you. I have to scrape together $1500 for this. I figure with tax etc it will be close to that.

The Ford dealer can install this for you. I was quoted around $1300 complete. Don't chase parts and try to do it yourself, as the ECU/PCM computer would also need updates. I have 302a and most of the cameras are there already.
Sorry but I do not believe this at all. I think you are being misled or they are confused on what you are wanting.

I can’t imagine a dealer getting involved in this level of modification just off your request. And $1300 would not even be possible especially not including their labor at an average of $100 an hour. As someone who did this, your truck couldn’t have more than the rear camera. You will need side cams which most likely entails new mirrors, since I do not know of anyone successfully piecing together parts to add cameras to existing ones. You need a new IPMA which has to be programmed and configured. The APIM also had to have as built values changed and I’m not sure a dealer can even do that with FDRS. You need a new front emblem and camera, plus all of the coax to go with this.
If adding the CHMSL you have to build or buy a harness to supply power and video connection to the camera. Plus the cost of the replacement light.

It took me roughly 3k to get mine done, but that is because I upgraded to tow mirrors and they had to be fully loaded mirrors at $1800 for both. A dealer would buy all factory parts and prices would be very high for cameras and IPMA.

I would advise you double check with them so they understand what they are doing and make sure you guys are on the same page. During my process my dealer wasn’t even sure if the caps I ordered for my tow mirrors would be changeable (lol) so I find it hard to believe your dealer is wanting to tackle this level of work for that price. I would not touch your truck for that price given I had to buy the parts as well.

Agree, the camera alone are $600-700 each. I somehow got a like new pair for that price and sold my new no camera mirrors for almost same price so I totally lucked out. But the mirrors plus computer is easily $2k from dealer so maybe $1300 was labor.

Dealer couldnt do it if they wanted to. Dealers have zero way of programming a module that isnt for the vehicle.

Exactly what I thought. Tried saying this above without literally saying it as confidently as you ?

Fair enough I will ask. and try to get a printed quote.. I thought they looked at my VIN..

I have the Tow package so I already have the CHMSL Camera etc (trailer tow) already have the front camera, so I guess I'd need just new side mirrors - wires are there already. and the 360 camera update. I will call and confirm, not trying to give out bad info. This is a larger than average Ford dealer - not sure if that matters. Not sure I want the 'huge' side mirrors just to get the cameras.

Also I do not have the front grille camera, is that required for 360? I guess I need 3 and the software.

Yes you need the front grill camera. You can get away without cargo camera(it was acutally on back order for a while). If you have the mirror wiring that would be sweet as that was kind of a paint in the butt to fish it. At least in my case my truck was wired from grill to firewall for camera but I had a hell of a time with the firewall connector and it wasnt wired from firewall to module. You should be able to take a peak at the module and see how many wires you have coming off the green plug. That would give details on level of pre-wire

Hello, my name is Sean and I am new to the forum. I saw your conversation about adding the 360 camera package and I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on how to go about adding this feature. I understand that it is pricey and am prepared for that. I have a 2021 ford f250 xlt premium with the rear bed camera without the 360 camera and I would like to add it. I have spoken to several dealers in the Phoenix, Arizona area and have been told it is impossible, but have heard otherwise.

Nothing is impossible these days. But it could be a challenge with the F250 using just F150 data.
Probably similar, but definitely not exact.

I ended up going with the kit from Naviks which allowed me to install a front camera on the grill. There is a oem look option from camera source but I don’t think it was worth the extra $700 to do it since adding the front grill and 3rd brake light camera for a total of $700. It was definitely a extensive install and I still don’t have 360 View camera function but for the purposes of a front camera to see how close I’m parked to something along with being able to monitor the bed while driving is all I need. At this point I’m use to driving the larger vehicle so I’m satisfied with the result and it all looks very close to factory with no wires or extra buttons inside the cab exposed.

The person I spoke with at the service desk, must have been totally wrong about being able to add it - I never called to verify. For now I'm going to skip the 360, I want to get other things (expensive tonneau cover, perhaps grill guard, new tires soon)

You will need: new side mirrors, wiring, new rear CMHSL camera, front grill camera, wiring.
After you get/find all of those parts for probably $2500+ you will need to purchase all of the programing modules, Forscan, plus the ford change update program (? $500)- you'll also MAY need to pay a member someone like 'Jesseinfotainmet' etc to remote into your laptop with all cables etc and carefully update and reprogram your truck for 2-3 hours perhaps (+$500?) if you are not really tech savvy. (you can brick your truck) - also a trickle charger to leave on the battery while all of this is happening. I may be missing items - this really isn't that easy to me.

This is my part number post from a while back. So I’ll post it here also

IPMA depends on build Date. If you have a job 1 or 2 or a 22.

I THINK you can use a JOB 1 in any but that hasnt been verified 100% I have done it but not with a 360 cam IPMA only the rear cam IPMA.

The Cargo cam is only available with the brake light.

Ill give some parts but I have no responsibility of the accuracy. These are what I used in MY truck.

IPMA ML3Z-14G490-J

FRONT CAMERA - ML3Z-19G490-C

FRONT CAM HOUSING(PLASTIC) - ML3Z-19H511-A
HARDWARE - W506962S450

SIDE CAMS -I BOUGHT MIRRORS. I THINK YOU COULD PIECE TOGETHER THE PARTS AND TRY TO INSTALL IN YOUR MIRRORS I DONT KNOW. IF YOU WANT MIRRORS THE PART NUMEBRS DEPEND ON WHAT YOU WANT. LARIAT OR XLT I DECIDED AT THE TIME TO ADD POWER FOLD.

CARGO CAM - ML3Z-13A613-E

SIDE CAM COAX - ML3Z10E929DBA X 2

GREEN COAX ASSEMBLY - ML3Z10E929CAA (FOR SIDE CAMS AND FRONT)

FORD LOGO FRONT CAM - BLACK PLASTIC - ML3Z8213F (DOUBLE CHECK)

WASHER HOSE FOR FRONT CAM - ML3Z17A605B

WASHER HOSE FOR FRONT CAM 2 - ML3Z17A605C

WASHER NOZZEL FOR FRONT CAM - HC3Z-17603-B

NOZZEL CAP - ML3Z-17C526-A (BLACK PLASTIC)

FRONT CAM JUMPER - ML3Z10E929CCA (FRONT CAM IS PREWIRED TO THE GRILL. THIS JUMPER IS FROM THE IPMA TO THE UNDERHOOD CONNECTOR)

Please do not message me asking me if I am sure. The main reason I have not posted this is because of the messages I have received after privately trying to help.

I can help only so much. I dont mind helping but asking me to give you a money back guarantee is beyond ridiculous.

360 IPMA is REQUIRED for adding Adaptive Cruise.

I can help some with as build and such but the main issue with the ipma if you buy new IT WILL HAVE to be PMI. Also after the install a 360 and lane keeping cam calibration IS REQUIRED. Lane keeping calibration can be done in forscan the 360 cam calibration can only be done in FDRS.
Hey Jesse,

I recently installed the CCM upgrade on my 501A and did not need to upgrade the IPMA, does that mean its 360 capable?
