Nothing. If you have the front skid plate it bolts right up to it.

Thank you. I think Ford should include a set of skid plate bolt washers, the type that come on many ATV and side by sides. They protect the bolt heads when you bash something.

Thanks for posting we just got a set of 6112 to install on our FX4. We have 4 inches of rake!!!
Our FX4 had factory 20 inch wheels and a dinky 18 inch spare.....OK but not how I'd run things.

I installed a RCI transmission skid plate. It covers a lot of territory. Ours has a notched slot that can be knocked out to create a slot for the factory "engine skid plate". if you want to keep it. That factory plate has a curled up rearend that fits into the slot. Since the factory FX4 plate is a few millimeters thick we threw it out and now have some nice protection from whatever may get under there.
Awesome let me know how it turns out. I got the 20s on mine too with same weak spare tire. That’s why I made it priority to swap it out to full size. So mine on setting 4 (1.5 inch) lift which took out most of the rake. I’m going to leave it there since I’ll be throwing the camper on next week.
Might look into that raptor skid plate option over RCI.

For trans pan I replaced with PPE to get the extra 1.5 qt and got rid of the plastic. Skid plate - didn’t like a lot of the aftermarket products so went with a raptor factory plate. The holes are already in the frame for factory hardware and it attaches to the forward skid plate perfectly. There is also an oil drain plate (ordered separately). To gain better easier access to the drain plug installed a Fumoto quick drain. The plug is awsome btw cuts down on oil drain times and does not make a mess!
Can you post some pics of that fumoto drain plate? Interested in that setup for my truck.

For the rear 5100 shocks, should it be rubber boot up or down? I installed a different brand of shock and they recommended rubber boot down.

Great looking truck!
Boot should be down, as there are drain holes in the bottom that way. They *will* collect water in them under the boot. I don't know how, but they do.

Mine have drain holes on both ends of the boots so they will drain either way. I think the reason for boot down is based on proper heat dissipation but I talked to bilstein they said it doesn’t matter with these new shocks.

I stand corrected. Maybe collecting water inside helps with heat dissipation lol.

Trust me I went deep on this topic. I’m still going to flip them because of my OCD but according to bilstein the orientation doesn’t matter. He actually said if you run it boot down to make the drain holes are a little bigger if you think you ever be in water that deep.

The rears are upside down. Bilsteins are to be installed so the Bilstein logo is right side up always. Looks great!!

I'm guessing boot down is ideal so moisture drains away from the shock body. Boot up there is a chance that moisture will sit on the shock body and the shaft seal.
