PB2023 Tow Haul Mode

Question to all if anyone is experiencing the same thing. My 2023 Powerboost starts smelling oil or other fluid burning in tow haul mode.

I have used Tow/Haul for several trips of several hundred miles, never had anything like what you are describing.

Tow haul is a strategy for vehicle logic, it doesn't turn on a fluid burner. You should NOT smell anything in any mode .

I think what HammaMan meant to say is "You should NOT smell anything in any mode". '22 502A PowerBoost and I smell nothing in any mode and I use Tow Haul frequently.

How much weight are you pulling and how loaded up is the truck vs. rated payload when you are using Tow-Haul?

Ok, thanks. Just a 15ft flat trailer with a few Christmas trees for boy scout fund raiser, not really that heavy. Apprciate the feedback.

I am really not sure. I don't smell anything on eco, normal, and sport which are the ones that I have used so far.

I have the same ,only smells more like electric wires burning. Drivers side only when towing a 6x12 enclosed single axel empty.

Oh wow, thanks for replying. Does it seem like a concern, you think? Why would it smell for that mode?

I’m Not sure ,I’ll be taking it in this spring to the dealer. I have read other comments saying it eventually goes away. Doesn’t make sense. I have a 5.0 with 3:73 locker.

Oh ok. I know, why would the smell only be in the tow haul mode. Mine is the 3.5 Powerboost Hybrid.

I’m not sure, I want to document it with a visit to the dealer. My smell Happened in 12 miles of towing, haven’t towed since.
