Hi all,
New to the forum, just traded in a 2022 F-250, for a 2021 Powerboost (I consider it an upgrade, but that's in the eye of the beholder I suppose). Noticed within the first couple days that I would at times have the system almost completely reset. I'd loose my set gauges, 24hr time would go back to 12hr, it's a Canadian truck so it would go back to kph and liters/100km. I engaged ford over social media and gave them some feedback, and I'm glad to be seeing some OTA updates coming that seem to at least have fixed that bug, hasn't happened for a couple weeks, however there's a couple more issues that I have reiterated to them I feel should be addressed.
- Double honk on exit. This should be a switch, maybe a big warning about carbo monoxide for the powerboost crowd but the horn is too loud for this warning. I know there's a Forescan option for this but I shouldn't have to do that for something as simple as this.
-30 min max idle, this switch keeps turning itself back on. I don't make a habit of it, but there are times where I need to run into a store with my dog in the truck, I always check this switch is off when I get out now, but sooner or later someone will cook a dog or a child thinking their truck will just keep running. Again not supposed to be leaving a dog or kid behind but sometimes you have to. I suppose a workaround is to flip it to generator mode in propower, but not everyone has this option
-Steering wheel voice control button doesn't invoke google assistant (and likely siri), it invokes sync. In my 250 it would bring up google.
Just wanting to throw this out there for whomever at Ford may be looking. The point being that if they keep hearing feedback they might be more apt to make some changes.
