OTA Problems

Hey everybody, any tips on how to force an OTA? I have not received any updates to my 21 Powerboost since Power-up 6.2.0. Automatic updates are on and a schedule is set. Not sure what else I can or need to do. Thanks

You can't force ota updates. The only thing you could do is buy a mongoose cable or get on the list to borrow one, buy a power supply charger, a subscription to frds, and spend a few days manually updating every module on your truck.

Also, make sure your battery is good. My truck would try to update constantly and never do it until they replaced the battery. The battery would always test OK and start the truck but always showed 12.1 v which made the system think it was bad. New battery shows 12.5 v.

I have had one battery replaced under warranty and Ford refuses to replace it again, even though it is still under warranty. This battery routinely drops to 12.1 volts. It's a shame they can't put decent batteries in their trucks!!

Get a mongoose, a good battery tender/charger, (search the forums here for the brand and model) FORScan, and an FDRS 2-day pass. There a lot of dedicated, knowledgeable and experienced people here that can guide you through the process. Lots of YouTube videos, and guides here to work you through the process.
