OT: Anyone still put it in Park ?

I am pretty sure you have it set up to engage parking brake every time you put it in P, it has nothing to do with incline or decline.

It doesn't do that when on a level surface or even in my driveway which has a slight incline.

I was on the brake pedal today when I opened the door and the ebrake didn't engage, just went into park. I think the variable is the truck has to be sitting on auto hold for the ebrake to engage.

Not on mine. I have auto hold off but if on an incline and parking, it sets the brake automatically.

If in tow haul, or a trailer is connected, it may set it regardless of incline. Can't be certain but it doesn't take much of an incline when I see the notice.

Mine does it automatically when towing on very flat ground, but I have to set it manually on our driveway which has a slight incline.
