Are these DOT approved? Seems like the area for braking / turn signal indication is a little small

It does not specify that, I would thank so but I’m not sure. On the site it shows them illuminated and if you look closely it looks like they are very bright in the corners and then the side is slightly dimmer.

Yeah, I can't see how they can remotely get the area needed to be DOT compliant. They've got them cocked sideways a bit here making it seem like more light is visible from them than there would be on the truck. There's a minimum size requirement somewhere. This is what makes some eurospec vehicles need some kind of additional lamp that ends up looking odd. Also needs reflectors that I'm not seeing. Caveat emptor.

For sure they are not straight in that pic, I’m honestly not sure on the DOT requirements. If I figure it out I’ll post.

For Texas specifically I’m seeing that you need a least one that that can be seen from at least 1,000ft, and then for braking it should be able to be seen from 300ft in the daylight. I can’t find a certain size requirement.

I just watched the install video on youtube. One huge concern for me is the lack of protection for the Bliss module from water. This cant possibly be good long term for the modules.

BLIS radars are sealed themselves. The front units are sitting behind a piece of trim and not sealed in any way.

They are running 20% off you can get them ordered for $428, who’s going to do it?
Kicked the idea around, but I’m hoping we get some more options, really like the Morimoto’s, but the BLIS imprint they leave on them is ridiculous, hoping they do a refresh and eliminate that.

I would like to see them without the BLIS imprint as well if they ever do it, but I really like the shaping and coloring otherwise. The Oracle lights thus far haven't really impressed me seeing them actually on a truck. The LED startup and turn signal functions are kind of cool, but the LED's themselves seem to be low quality.

I'm hoping Diode Dynamics gets board and makes some, but as of right now, the Recon taillights are in the lead to replace my taillights someday.

I would love to see DD make tail lights and a third brake light as well eventually! I myself won't buy anything Recon, as their quality issues have been terrible in years past.
