One downside of this effort is how fast it is evolving, so the URLs change quite frequently. Anyone needs help in the future just drop a request.

The good news is that once you have the devicing running in your vehicle and you have it setup the way you like it, you really don't need to do anything else. Even updating is elective.

I just bought the comma3x for my 2021 XLT. I'm super pumped to get it all connected. I have a question. Since I don't have a 3d printer, could I pay someone on here to print me one of those sliding mounts and mail it to me?

I have a few sliding mounts printed up, but I’m waiting on a new batch of couplers. Send me a message.

Howdy! Just thought that I’d jump in here and express my thanks and experience so far.

I was bummed that Ford dropped BlueCruise from the Raptors, but now after reading about poor quality of it, I’m glad to have put the money towards this project instead.

I got the Comma 3x installed on my ‘22 Raptor 37PP and loaded (with SunnyPilot) pretty quick. It took a little figure out the process to load, then select the version, then vehicle type, ect. Now I could do it in no time.

I was worried that it wouldn’t work with my aftermarket shock controller (SDi eClik), as I can’t run it and my Cobb ECU tuner at the same time. But to my surprise and excitement, the seem to cohabitate just fine.

2 days after installing it, I drove from Utah to Michigan (~1,700 miles) in 2 days (finishing last night). Man, it made the trip so much easier. Just eased my mind so much. Definitely agree to the “make driving chill” motto. I ran into some weather and had to stop using it for an hour or two here and there. Sometimes because the road was slick, and others because the ACC radar sensor got blocked due to ice buildup (which made the Ford system stop working which was irrelevant to running the C3x) Man! I really missed it when I had to stop using it. It really works amazing. I was really surprised how well it can keep this fat truck with squishy suspension and 37’s right down the lane, even in a 20+ mph crosswind.

There were definitely a few glitches and to no one’s surprise, it wasn’t perfect. I didn’t expect it to be. But overall, it was better than I had hoped for. The lane change is definitely way too hyper, so I’d usually slow it down with my hand on the wheel for a second. Especially in a cross wind as it would almost throw me off the road. lol

I also had quite a few (maybe 10-15) alerts where I had to take over due to can-bus comm errors and some more that said “controls lagging”. I’d just touch the wheel and it would reengage and work perfect without doing anything else. So no biggie. I’m getting my steering rack replaced next week as it’s going out, so maybe that isn’t helping anything. lol

I ran it mostly with Fords factory ACC but did play around a little with SP’s longitude controls.

Anyway, you guys are awesome. Very informative thread here and is definitely worth reading through the whole thing if anyone is interested in this. And thanks to my friend @OneFast440 for making me spend more money on my truck lol!

-Paul

I think that your c3x might come with flat and 8 degree mounts. Wait for your delivery.

I'm always good at making others spend money. Be careful around me. ;)

A couple of days ago, I had a trip through a twisty canyon road via a highway. It did well, but I noticed that it really struggles with back to back lefts and then rights. It seems to overshoot the first before correcting to make the next turn. I plan to look more into the data but for now I figured I would put up the video for entertainment purposes. Also, I did grab the wheel on the initial back to back turn right after the tunnel as it got a little close to the guardrail than I would I have liked by continuing to turn right instead of going left.

this is a known issue. It’s rooted in Ford using curvature instead of angle like every other car manufacturer. Finding a solution is probably the next priority after getting long control ironed out.

What's next in figuring out long control? Are you and rwrx_xr_x primary for ford?

There is a pull request (suggested code update) submitted to Comma (that rwxr helped a lot with) and we are awaiting their feedback.
