Updating this in case others still have similar problem. Finally replaced the control panel and connections behind /below that are directly behind the driver side rear wheel after i figured how to prevent generator from ever resetting .. Wrapping the connections behind wheel with saran wrap while wet and generator in tripped fault mode. Reset was impossible.
Found moisture inside the original connectors . The replacement seemed tight and should exclude water .
Im in Upstate NY and have had prime conditions to trip generator the last few weeks since the fix and generator WILL NOT TRIP .
I count is as fixed .
