Good morning,

A quick question: If I perform my own oil changes (at 5K), will this void the factory warranty? My truck is a 2023 with 5.0L and 20k miles.

Thank you in advance.

you can add records to you ford app for any maintenance you do yourself.

I change mine every 5 k but I don’t reset them maintenance reminder until it gets down to 10-15 percent so I can still get the reminders of what the truck is asking for besides an oil change.

No, unless you do something to screw it up, then you would be liable for your mistakes.

There are no other reminders. The oil life meter is just for oil life.

keep very good records, keep your receipts, have hard copies of this stuff. Don’t rely on the FordPass to track it for you.

Thank you Gentlemen. I prefer to do my own oil changes and have more control.
Cheers

Isn’t there letters after the oil change or whatever. Reminding you to change filters and other things. That’s what I am talking about

Plugs, cabin etc

Just make sure you use oil that meets Ford's spec outlined in your owners manual. Keep the receipt and you are gold.

Yeah on the FordPass

Go to service and click on service history and there is a ADD tab on the upper right corner :)

Just another way to keep track of things. You can see what the dealer has done in the past but they dont include details. You can call them and ask for information if your a new owner and want to know some history.

Ohh nice! Ford added that capability back. For about a year now you could no longer add your own service history in the app.
