Picked up a set of 295 70 18 Toyo's and method rims too have for the winter, I was originally mounting on my factory rims. Offset on my original 18" rim seems to be a +44 offset. The method rim seems to be a 0 offset. Best i can determine is the rims sticks out approx. 2 inches further. is this setup going require a fender flare to protect the fender edge? is my math correct? Thanks!

They will move the wheel face out ~2" between the offset difference and the wider wheel. I would be more concerned about rubbing than fender flares though. My 34" ×11.5" tires on 9" wide wheels with a +12mm offset and a 2" level come extremely close to rubbing on the crash bars at full lock (even after I moved them as far apart as possible without bending them). That combo may still work for you, but there's definitely a chance that it will rub near full lock, especially in reverse.

Thanks, there are 295 70 18 on it right now , was told the wouldn't fit...there little snug in there. Now I'm goin with 0 offset and 9 inch rim. There is a level kit but it might be time for a small lift. or trim a few things...Looking at options. Picking up rims after xmas. thanks Folks!

Funny, that is the same set I picked out from TireRack.com ... but after speaking with them on the phone and at the dealer - I backed out on the purchase. The offset sticks out too far for me and it would look clownish (for my style and personality anyway). I am now looking at Tremor rums with Tremor sized tires - no mods needed. Again, just me view - so nothing personal for everyone else.

Thanks guys, ya I'm thinking I'm gonna go a different route, the rims were at a dealer so i have the option not to go through with them, Might end up just installing them on my oem wheels! thanks for all the input!

I agree with the others. Obviously, appearance is very subjective, but with a 9" wheel, I feel that an offset between +12 and +18mm looks best on these trucks when they are leveled. Here is a straight on picture of mine (+12mm) so you can judge for yourself.

I don't think they were necessarily trying to mislead you. However, that combination would very likely require modifications to the crash bars (that you may not agree with) to prevent rubbing. Some people are fine with making these modifications. However, dealers/tire shops should inform customers of what's involved so they can make a decision which works best for them.

I didn't realize what the offset was until i started looking and learning, I do like my oem rims anyway and was just trying to get a winter setup. By the time u do rims, wheel nuts installed and TPMS it gets a bit costly.

Does anybody know what the offset is for the 20 inch factory wheel on the platinum? I’ve always bought a set of fuels and tires to go with the level kit, but I’m totally fine with these if they will work

+44 offset
Thank you! Do you know if they are 20x9? Im trying to see if I will be able to use them with a 295 60 tire. My current truck I have the ready lift 2" front with 3" rear and did Fuel 20x9 with a 20mm offset and 295 60 tires and it worked nearly perfect.
