at 34,000 miles full BG transmission flush and Coolant system flush as I tow an 8,000 pound trailer 50% of the time with my Max Tow package 2021 PB.

at 35,500 Tranny Main control valve body overhauled due to tsb 24-2100

at 45,300 Overhauled transmission & flushed cooler, cdf drum bushing failure per tsb24-2176

at 52,000 miles at normal 65 mph operation on a gently hilled terrain highway, Tranny temp climbed to 273. But immediately dropped back down when I backed off.

Dealer tells be it needs a new transmission cooler as it is clogged and offered me a "high capacity" aftermarket one until I told him it has the max trailer kit in it and should already be high capacity.

How can there be a clog when I flushed coolant at 35K and transmission several times? I'm about to go off drive train warranty.

Also, even if it is clogged, WHAT CLOGGED IT?

Are you pulling the trailer in tow haul mode or are you trying to use normal mode? The PB must use tow/haul mode towing so that it isn't as aggressive w/ the hybrid and keeps the engine running which is required for the water pump to run as the trans is only cooled by the water pump.

Jesus fuck. This makes me nervous. My POS was 3 quarts low from the factory and had a replacement valve body. 9k on it now.

My 23 has been great but I don’t tow with it.

my 20 had a noisy output bearing and I should have never let the dealership touch it. They disassembled my trans and replaced the bearing, then they put it together wrong after keeping it for two months and it lost gears 7-10 and puked out all its fluid about 12 hours from home.

that was my lesson to just leave these things alone if they’re working fine

I had mine get an oil change at about 15k, 30k, and so on. It was a tad low on factory fill. Not discernable until temperatures got down to 15ºF. once level correct it had been flawless. Of course my dealer asked me why the changes... I told him in order to get any residual manufacturing debris out of the transmission. I'm aware that Ford set up a very high level of cleanliness in their manufacturing process. Still, I think my work done helped the transmission's long term longevity.

It is only recently reported in this forum that BG came out with a ULV fluid. Given the reported mileage of the OPs services, I wonder if LV trans fluid was used?

I use tow/haul mode 100% of the time I’m trailering.

Early on I considered changing out fluid with Amsoil since I'm partial to Amsoil. I looked up the spec for the 10R80 and ULV and compared it with the Amsoil fluid. Turns out they, at that time were advertising their LV fluid as proper for the 10R80. Its viscosity was not correct. So I stuck with Ford ULV. Amsoil now does offer a ULV fuid meeting the specs for viscosity. For now I'm sticking with the Ford product. Bearings can be designed for whatever fluid and viscosity is desired. I have seen bearings in Navy pumps designed for water lubrication and they last the life of the ship.
