You mean something is wrong in that it shouldn’t be in 7th gear at 40 mph?
I think so, My son's 2020 FX4 took it in for Transmission Sev. at 58000 miles. 325.00 to Sev. it ! They called and trans. needs to be rebuilt. Took about 4 days. I drove his truck and it stays in 6 or under 7th under 50-55. my 24 Tremor does the same thing. Just talk with the Trans. Tech see what he says. By the way , No charge for the Sev. Thanks Ford.

Gotcha. Yeah can’t hurt to ask. I think the tremor has a different gear ratio, believe it’s 3.73 whereas I have 3.55. Not sure about the fx4 ratios. If you both have the 3.73 your shift points are probably different than mine. But yeah going to see what a tech says

I stand corrected. From the manual:

“The system tunes the steering and suspension to enhance driving comfort when towing or carrying heavy loads.”
I'm not one to argue about things !! But how in the world would putting your truck in tow mode or any mode change the Suspension. I can understand steering because it's electric, maybe so. But the suspension has no electric to it. It's springs and shocks ! They do what they do, that's it. There is no way that the computer can or the transmission can control the suspension !! Think about it. I don't care what the Manual says.

Not sure the mechanics of it, but there’s some posts I saw that show an electrical component by the brakes that controls it. Other vehicles certainly do it as well. Our Acura tlx type s firms up suspension in sport mode. Online it says the trucks change suspension with Continuously Controlled Dampers (CCD)

I wasn’t 100% sure in the suspension changing in these trucks, to me it *maybe* feels a little stiffer over bumps in tow mode. But I’m certain the steering changes (at least on mine)

Yes I Agree with you on the steering. I believe you can change the steering in the computer on my truck , but never tryed. My Tremor is Fully loaded with just about everything. Things I don't need to. I got most of it shut off ! Hell I have problems navigating throw my 12" screen sometimes.
