May be easier just to buy a 2023 PB.

I got a few PID's working with the 2023 PIDs returning same values with different names. So I think the PID's are the same in 2022 and 2023, there are just more PID's in 2023 and some of the old ones have new names.
Thanks

I need to figure out a way to get the app to let me use the 2023 library with my 2022 truck.
I think it's just the app that has expanded the lists for 2023-2024 recently when they finally added support for trucks beyond 2022.

Or put another way, I think the 2021-2022 trucks actually support those additional PIDs. But I could be wrong.

I saw how tiny the progress dot was while scrolling. Reminded me of my image gallery on the phone for all images. Daunting!

Wait!

Ok, can someone load this PID on your 2023 and report whether it really is what I think it might be?

If it is, you will see it fluctuating numerically rather quickly.

First one is EV mode, then turned dial to Sport and stepped on throttle to get engine to come on.

psi value = inHg value / 2.03602

So in EV mode, Ford shows ~14psi
Your gauge shows 27.5hgin = 13.5psi

As soon as the ICE started, Ford runs the variable oil pressure pump on the high stage. ~60-70psi

Your gauge shows it maxed at 100hgin. You'd need to raise the max allowed value to something like 150 to get that high possible reading on cold oil.

A few seconds after ICE runs at idle, Ford drops the variable oil pressure pump to the low stage. I would see ~28-38psi.

Your PID shows 74.7hgin = 36.6psi

I think you have shown that OBDLink is the only smartphone app showing the oil pressure Pid for the Gen14 trucks. Finally!

Now to figure out how to use that pid on a 2022. Or to harvest the PID formula somehow and create a user defined pid.

Thank you!

I appreciate the information all of you provide- but get some sleep.?
For now, I am not touching my setup.

You're welcome! I'll up my max tomorrow and play around with it. I'm still in the "discovery phase" of searching for metrics to watch, and then of course what format to use. I've learned a lot from your prior examples. I'll keep you posted on my learnings as I delve into it.

Tonight, I drove to wedding and back. Trip there was meh on mileage, and only 2.1 electric miles out of the 20.2. 22.5 MPG. Just seemed like it was trying to recover from a low battery, given my prior fault/issues. On the return trip, 4.1 electric miles, 25.5 MPG.

Once I get these gauges configured, I can start looking at battery charge level (whether it's the SOC you've demonstrated or one of the many other hybrid 2023 PIDs), and amperage/time coming and going (drive/recharge).

The problem with these 2023 PID changes is that if you create dashboard that works with the 2023 PID's it will not be compatible with the 2021 and 2022 PB's because of PID name changes. So it gets complicated sharing dashboards here.

SnakeBitten,

Okay, I changed the max on the gauge, and went digital.

My first disclaimer - don't pay much attention to my gauge styles. This is not my desired display yet. Right now I'm in discovery mode, and I'm just looking for what metrics actually report useful info. Once I get metrics down, I'll then start working on ergonomics and customize my dashboard.

With that being said, what would have been more useful with the following is a graph for the varying screenshots - although having separate snags helps with extrapolating from one gauge/metric to the next for any given time. This isn't excel on pivot tables lol.

Okay, first two snags: Truck hasn't been started since last night. Got in, I believe I went into accessory mode and shut off headlamps. I then hit the ON button (EV mode). You'll find your Engine Oil Pressure gauge in digital blue frame below. You'll also see the spike in current usage (drain) and the SOC drop a few tenths.

Here I force ICE on, by going to sport mode, and stepping on the accelerator (not sure if sport mode is required, but that's what I did), and capture a snag immediately after, and then a few seconds later. You'll see the hybrid battery current spike on the other side of zero, meaning it's now charging in the negative current graph. Your engine oil pressure comes down to 71.5, and the SOC goes up a few tenths.

Stabilization of oil pressure seemingly arrives us at 28 or so. I let the truck run and charge up the battery....until ICE cuts out and goes back to EV only. Seems to do this at 55.6 SOC or so.

then, if I remember correctly, I shut'er down (OFF).
We go back in to drain-leakage mode (although the graph shows 0.0 A at bottom - I'm not buying it - maybe I need 3 dec to get to milliamps), of keeping the patient on life support until next time:

I'll have to make my gauge styles more useful (system current needs a decimal I think, and I may follow suit with your styles - I like them.

"State" gauges at bottom left, not useful (yet) - any guidance on choosing style that would make those useful?

I believe the oil pressure Pid is working. Although it should never read 28hgin if ICE is running. That would be odd.

That coldstart 159hgin is exactly what you should see for a few seconds while the oil pump is in high pressure mode.

After a few seconds, it dropping to 70's is correct too!

Wonder what is necessary to convert it from an hgin gauge to a psi gauge?

It looks like we have a new tenacious OBDLink participant. ?
I kinda feel guilty for being an influence on anyone to sit hours in the driveway while the neighbors think you've lost your mind. ?

Funny you should mention that lol. Mine is in the garage. Wife came out looking for me, heard the strange sound of truck in EV mode, and then she looked up and saw me sitting there (once again)...

Indeed @turbopilot and I quite like my gauges and layout (including colors) using 2022 PIDs with my 2023. That said, I am anal enough to eventually try a re layout using 2023 PIDs as time permits. I am still unclear however, is it okay to go ahead and import them or will that mess up my current layout right away? Can I import them, run the 2022 layout I like (a version of your PB1.4) and develop a 2023 layout as long as I don't tell the App I have a 2023?

Can't answer those questions. With some fiddling around and clean install of the app on IOS I was finally able to run PB v1.5 as a 2022 with 2023 PID's loaded on my 2023 PB. Until some new irressitible PID's are found in the 2023 PID library, I am going to keep running on the 2022 PID's.

It already was complicated. Importing @Snakebitten 2022 dashboard required me to redo all the hybrid PIDS because mine is a 2021. Or I could lie and change my 2021 indicate 2022 and do the import... This further complicates....

I tried to manually add a 2023 F150, but it wanted a valid VIN.
So not exactly sure how I can get the app to provide me with the bigger PID library.
I've got a dealer loaner you can use
