Just my luck. I got a nail in my tire and a dent/scratch in the driver rear. I ran over something

That sucks... Sorry to hear this! What do you think you ran over to cause the paint damage?

Dang .. That poor baby!
I had a pest control company scratch my baby in my driveway the other day on camera. They were servicing the neighbors house and decided to use a spider sweeping pole and scratched the driver door. Been fighting with them the last few days to pay for the repair.. Sucks!

I'll buy the truck from you for $35K, so you'll never have to see that scratch again.

So sorry to hear about the scratch n dent. I've had mine fixed a couple of times for this kind of crap. Finally decided to end my worries by ordering a maverick from granger and either trading mine in or selling it myself. Soon, I'll have a little commuter/work truck I've always wanted and I could care less about. For me, this kind of crap eats me up and I cannot let it go. ?

It appears it is not deep enough to reach the metal which is more expensive to repair. Ask a few paint shops about a price.

Just like Rosannadanna used to say.

"It's always somethin"

With that said somethin is going to happen to 99% of us at some time, so while it sucks, it could be a lot worse.

it's always stressful to wait for the first scratch on a new vehicle, knowing that it's coming, but hoping not today . . .

maybe Ford could offer an inexpensive pre-scratched option.

And then our medical insurance could give us a price break for proactively lowing our stress!

I’m on my third new pickup since 1979

3 days after getting my new Chevrolet c-10, someone keyed the entire passenger side. Ignored this and never got another scratch for ten years. (Still have this truck)

2005 Ranger, 3 weeks in, rear ended another pickup. Got that fixed and no more incidents till I sold it just before delivery of my 21.

13 months in, hail damage, 10k in damages, beat the crap out of my ordered pickup. ( did not even phase the the Taurus and the k1500 parked on either side).

Get it fixed, and forget it ever happened, particularly if it’s the right rear. Can’t see that from the driver seat anyway.
