Sorry I missed this a few weeks ago, it's been a while since I've logged in. I haven't gotten around to posting the lowering kit so it's just sitting in my garage completely unopened.
Interested?
Thanks for the reply!
That's exactly what I thought while looking at it. I was hoping someone had an easier trick. I'll make the dealership deal with it. I don't want to be responsible for breaking the clips or plastic cap.
I was randomly talking on the phone outside after some yard work and noticed the driver clamp pocket door on the tailgate looked off. Naturally, I pushed it in and one side managed to push in. I couldn't get it back in place so the only option so I didn't lose it was to take it out completely...
I bought the Tackform kit with the 2" arm for this exact reason. You can buy the arm on Amazon by itself or even a longer one. I feel like 5" would be too much, but that's just my opinion.

Nice. I may have to pick this up as well. I added another organizer for the top of the center console a while back. I like having the important stuff right on top and bigger out of view items hidden beneath.

Added a cover for the lower front console cubby. Found the shop on Etsy. The fit and finish is perfect and a bit thicker than I expected.

I reused whatever was there... Are those nuts stock? Is there a part number or alternative replacement nut that I should be using?
I recall seeing this mentioning in other threads previously, but there didn't seem to be clear agreement about the need to replace them...
I figured Ridetech is what they were running on their blue RCSB and the new "Dale Truck".
After my truck is paid off, my plan is to get the Ridetech kit. Buy once, cry once!
I really like most of HFs stuff. The only downside in this case would be that it's another battery and charger to maintain. I'm leaning towards a 20V DeWalt since I already have half a dozen tools and batteries in that line. For random at home tasks, any reason I shouldn't go with a 3/8 over a...
Swapped out the rear FX4 shocks for Bilstein 4600s. I'll have the fronts replaced during the next scheduled maintenance in month or so. The stock FX4 shocks were not great paired with the Ford Performance Lowering Kit. Way to bouncy and floaty at higher speeds. Hopefully, these will feel a bit...
Awesome. For times sake, I set the torque wrench at 66 ft lbs on top and bottom of both shocks. This is definitely one of those times I wish I had an impact wrench for the removal and initial install. Would have made it a bit easier and faster.
I figured I could tighten them up later tonight or...
I've been trying to search, but I can find anything from previous posts I know I've seen.
Can someone quickly confirm the rear shock torque specs?
I believe I recall 66 ft lbs.
