First you need to download the vehicle specific data for your truck, then in dashboard you'll need to add gauges. Are you powerboost or an ICE engine? This would matter because there would be different pic's to select. You'll need to play around with the gauge sizes and types a bit to make them fit on the screen as I did.

Most of them can be found under Ford, Lincoln, Mercury;
Body control module;
Vehicle Battery- state of charge %
Vehicle Battery- Days in service
Vehicle Battery- Current (A)
Battery Voltage (V)
Battery Charge Mode

Ford, Lincoln, Mercury;
Powertrain control module;
Ambient Air Temperature

The "Powerboost" is finally living up to its name and just in time to stop me from buying a replacement for the OEM battery. ?

Ford certainly took their time but it looks like they finally included the 12V AGM in the power-boost algorithm.

Now that little Lithium ~300V high voltage battery is boosting:

HP/Torque
Fuel Economy
ProPower generator
AND last but not least, now the poor previously starved AGM.

So I courageously predict that at some time in the future, the endless threads related to low voltage on the low voltage side of the Powerboost will become old news.

Looking forward to it too.

Has anyone with the OTA BCM 24-PU0121-FTDI-FX and a 5.0 noticed improvement?
I've had to leave my Associated Charger hooked up in Flash Mode to receive these updates. This is not a daily driver, but I would like to know if the truck will maintain a charge on its own.
Prior to this, it would drop from 12.7v to 11.9v in less than 8 hours.

Mark, Thanks for the assistance with this. Your directions helped me to find the monitors. I got it set up now. Appreciate it!

Your welcome, Crris
Glad to hear you found a starting point. There are 100's of interesting PID's in there to explore, and you can get addicted to looking at the inner workings of you truck very quickly. :) ;)

Count me among the satisfied. I've had the annoying issues for nearly two years, I've got a 21 Lariat. Followed the directions about 3 weeks ago. I had good results right away but have put off posting to see if it lasted. It appears to be working great. Even with a week of only short 2 mile trips every few days I haven't even had the auto start/stop quit, though that would be alright! Do not miss shutting down without the "to save battery" screen coming on.

Bought my 23 PB a month ago and haven't had ANY problems or warnings of any kind. Is there any reason to do this procedure to my truck? Will it make my battery last longer or anything?

I have a '22 job 2 with over 17k miles and have never done it or anything else for that matter. I enjoy looking at data points to help me understand how the truck works, but so far...as they say. Thankfully, we have this forum to help us navigate issues if and when they do arise.

Just a quick update. After the update, I seem to go a couple of days longer before Deep Sleep and Accessory Disable. Seems like I am digging for my remote to open the passenger door more often and cabin lights are dim. Improved, but far from fixed.

I don't recall having any issues in the first couple months but nuisance type things started shortly after, getting more frequent with time and ultimately, the Check Charging System Soon, warning.

So, if it was me, I'd leave it alone and if gremlins start appearing, charge the batt as per instructions. If they come back as a chronic condition within a few days, then I'd do the BMS reset.

Other than falsely resetting the age of the batt, I don't know of any downside and I don't even know if that is a true downside, since the batts themselves, have date codes on the case.

I am still issue free. Perfect. Not a peep out of it. And I don't baby the electrical system any more.

Update. Well at 3 weeks I was good. At 3 months, not so much. The gremlins are back. I've got a 2000-mile trip coming up in October, so planning to get an H7 in the next couple of weeks. I should add that it was a truck that sat, waiting on chips and is over 3 years on the road, but only 33,000 miles.

It's not something that can be accessed, in the vehicle. It can be easily seen using an ODBMX+ with the app. It would look like this.

Hi
I have battery issues with State of Chargre. The vehicle has to be at 85% to receive OTA updates and 95% for Athena auto stop to work. I am more concerned with the OTA updates not pushing through .

Will the ODBMX+ with the app work with my 2021 Platty ?
Thx

It most certainly will. The screen shots I've posted are from my 21 Lariat, using the ODBMX+ app. You will be able to download enhanced PIDs for your truck, ( these are included free with the purchase of the MX+) then you would be able to build a dashboard such as the one you see in my posts. I'll share the PIDs with you that I used to build that particular dash. It's easy.
