Would expect issues with valves to show up under low mileage. Any 21 on the road now is likely going to run forever.

Here is my timeline with my ongoing 2021 3.3L Lima Ohio Engine Failure issue. It is what it is. No media mention of the 3.3 yet but according to Ford they make it there and it is from same production time period. Issue Around 25 k miles. Also had a fleet 2021 3.3 L engine replacement under warranty at Work last year.

Time fame for 2021 Ford F-150 engine failure issue

3.3 L Duratec NA V6 / 2021 Lima Ohio production

Nave specific vehicle info and names available separately

9/8/2023 – Engine knock began under normal driving conditions. I reported to Ford Warranty Department immediately. Called and scheduled earliest available appointment at Local Ford Dealer #1 was told 9/20/23. Went to local Ford Dealer #2 in person was advised to take truck home and return for 9/12/23 appointment. Took truck home and parked until 9/12/23.

9/12/23 – Catastrophic engine failure on way to dealer appointment. Vehicle was disabled roadside and locked in park. Reported immediately to Ford Dealer #2. No assistance offered by Dealer. Vehicle towed to dealer at my expense.

9/12/23 to 10/1/23 – Dealer called me and inquired about vehicle abuse. I Visited Dealer in person and was questioned about vehicle abuse. The dealer agreed to examine vehicle to determine Warranty coverage. I Made calls to Ford Warranty and Dealer to inquire about status. No examination performed or Warranty status information received.

10/2/23 - Nation wide news articles appear regarding large expansion of Federal NHTSB investigation of faulty valves in Ford 2021 Lima V6 engines from Bronco only to multiple other trucks & SUV’s and 1 additional engine model. I called Ford Warranty Department and was advised that communication had been made with the Dealer regarding the delays. I was advised by Ford Warranty that no vehicle examination has been performed, no determination of Warranty coverage has been made, and that the process will be delayed due to a local and nation-wide issue related to engine and transmission repairs.

10/3/23- Attempted to advise Ford Warranty Department and Dealer in writing that any further correspondence in regard to this issue is requested in writing. I was not able to locate a direct email address or active digital submittal process. See screenshots below. Will send certified mail.
