This oops by Ford is probably worse than them drastically cutting the audio in a bunch of 2021 B&O 7 speaker trucks. That's a fairly small subset of trucks. It had a bunch of blowback and they have a fix rolling out in a little over a month. This is a much larger subset of people they've pissed off. Keep leaving negative reviews on Android and Apple stores.

Unfortunately, my phone updated the app unbeknownst to me. So I guess I am stuck with it. For me the app no longer locks or unlocks my doors, nor will it start my truck. Called the Help desk, while they were courteous enough, the person I spoke with was unable to solve my issue. She had me delete the app and reload, with the caveat that my cell phone needed to have 3 bars or better service. The new upload did not make a difference. A case was opened, details to follow.....

Wow, just got the updated app today and all I have to say is This APP Now SUCKS even more then before! As a customer, you don't take away features from prior releases of applications. This app is now almost totally useless to me. I guess Ford thinks we only need a few BASIC features that controls basic features like lock/unlock truck, Range to Empty, Honk horn, & location. No more PPOB, trailer light check & other lighting features. I got this truck because of the features and have used the app to control/get status of the features for camping. Now I have to go into the truck and use the screen. TOTAL BS! Why isn't Ford addressing the software side of their business. Whoever is in charge of this at FORD should be fired... Get someone who can take the the PowerBoost platform to its full potential.

Hi F-150 owners! If you recently updated your FordPass® app, you may have noticed it looks a little different. We are pleased to share that we have rolled out a newly designed app.

It is easy to use and efficient, reducing the number of steps it takes to access functions to help you better manage your vehicle remotely. Also, instead of having to hold down a button to turn the vehicle ‘on’, this is now a simplified slider.

Additionally, if you have an Apple Watch, along with lock/unlock and remote start/stop, you will also be able to use the following features from your wrist:
  • Activate horn and lights remotely
  • View vehicle location
  • View fuel level and range, for gasoline-powered vehicles
  • View fuel level, battery and range, as well as total combined, for hybrid vehicles
We are also continuing to improve in-app experience with this latest version. If you notice a feature you previously used before is no longer there, don’t worry, the feature can still be accessed via your in-vehicle touchscreen.

We love to hear from our owners so let us know what you think and if you have any questions about FordPass!

I am sure this got pulled because all the dealers were getting caught lying to their customers about working on their vehicles. I caught mine several times when I called for status at the end of the day and they claimed "our service tech has been working on it the last few hours" when I *know* that they hadn't touched the truck all day!
That is why I have them give me a paper copy that states all work done every time I get the Works. In the app all that it ever says is the mileage the work was done at and then it states Scheduled Maintenance and Cooling. Whatever that means...could mean anything and is useless in showing that an oil change and tire rotation was done.

Hey Ford, who are the geniuses that designed this pile of crap? Lemme get this straight; you took away stuff like the zone lighting to replace it with a slide switch to start the vehicle? Are you Fkn serious? Does anyone over there take the time to ask customers what they want?

One capability that is glaringly missing is the ability to get notified when the vehicle alarm is activated. That used to be part of the app, but no longer seems to work.

I just talked to my nephew who works for Apples corporate technical support with iPhone and asked if apps could be revert to previous versions. Below is what he said.

"Short / easy answer no not really : long complicated answer would be to do manual back up of the entire phone to a computer or (possibly I cloud) , update the app and see if you like it and if you don't then you can immediately restore back to that back up but if you do this method and use the phone for a month or so after you make the back up and you want to restore, you will lose your data from the last month if that makes sense"
Whoa! Wow. I’m not going to try.

But I very much appreciate your efforts to help.

I’ve now deleted the app. It’s useless.

Way to go, Mr. Jim Fubarley.

So I can get in my truck to do the trailer light check, then get back out to check the lights... Or I can just have my wife stand back there and do it... Still looking for where to enter user service on the in-vehicle touchscreen. Oh, and I guess I can just see if the alarm is going off from the dash as well. And powerboost owners that are sitting comfortably in their camper in the pouring rain can just hop right on out to the truck to check the PPOB... This is just so great and amazing! I'm so glad these options are still there! They sure did give the app a cleaner interface too! Just deleted half the things it used to do.

I would love if the app would confirm if the vehicle windows were rolled up or down. Bonus points if your could roll up or down the windows via app. Lexus has this feature…..

I logged on and brought me to the new update BUT gave me the option to switch back to the previous version, which I had.

My beef is with Fordpass Rewards. EVERY TIME I get another new Ford, the rewards never reflect and I have to chase them for weeks on end. I have 9 Fords on my app and I would think they'd be keen to keep a repeat customer happy.
