I posted in the other thread but 5.12.0 allows climate controls after remote starting your truck through the app. Works on a 24 XLT loaner I have.

I have 5.12.0 and a 21 MY XLT. That option is not on my Ford Pass. Must be a 24 MY and up option.

I just looked at your other thread and I haven't received the OTA mentioned in that thread yet.... Might make a difference.. time will tell. I checked yesterday on PTS and there are no outstanding OTA's for my truck. I am not holding my breath because Ford has forgotten my truck and doesn't send me OTA's...

Yeah, I have a 22 and the climate control option is not there. That would be a nice feature to have. On a positive note I did just receive an update from Ford for the head unit. I have been having to do a hard reset a couple of times a week because, while it would connect to CarPlay, I couldn't hear anything (music, Google Map directions). So far, it seems to have fixed the issue and connects faster.

I know it will appear as though that new climate control is a result of the FordPass app version, but it actually requires a specific version of HVAC module software, the FordPass app version, AND a server side enabled flag on the Motorcraft servers.

Just watch how many folks report they have the same FordPass and are missing the feature. And then some reporting later that the feature just suddenly appeared. ?

I only know this because it was rolled out previously to the Mach-E, and those folks throw some world-class tizzies compared to over here.

You'll get it. It's just not something you can force unless you have FDRS. And even that just qualifies the vehicle for the serverside flag getting flipped. It happens fairly quick once the vehicle has the necessary software. And you might already have it?

Have someone look to see if your VIN has an HVAC update available. If it doesn't, you probably already have the update.

I'm coming up on a year since I've gotten any updates so I'm positive my 21 doesn't have the correct software. I had rugedraw check for me recently because of something the service advisor said when I dropped the truck off but I haven't been sent anything in at least 3 months. Last successful update was April of 24 - 6.8.0. And a whole bunch of phantom updates....

It was mentioned in one of the PB Facebook pages that it doesn't actually work. You can change it but when you get in the truck, the changes are not set to what you did in the app. I tested it today and sure enough, it was not set to what I set it to on the app. Did anyone else notice this?
