Happened to you, too? Interesting. I agree though, things happen. Very cool that you received excellent support. I would have probably had the same experience had mine still been under warranty. I replaced mine with a Schumacher. So far, so good.
Maybe reach out to them. Might give you credit or a discount for a new one for good will. Good companies value loyalty. I had a DeWalt tool crap out 6 months after warranty. They did send me a new one. because I have been a good customer for years., and as a DIY / Hobbyist probably have ~$2-$3K of DeWalt power and hand tools.

I had thought about it but just went ahead and bought the Schumacher. You’re probably right that they may have done something for me. Too late now.

Speaking of DeWalt, I’ve had excellent experiences with their CS. They always have taken care of me by sending replacement parts or tools as needed.

I followed this install using the Noco 2D:
https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/anyone-try-a-different-battery-brand.9861/post-172594

I did it as shown to 3 of my vehicles (terminating in the Noco GCP1 as shown in the link photos). For the two that have steel bumpers (to include my F-150) where I couldn't easily use the GCP1 I let the male plug at the end of the 6 ft extension cord sit on the skid/bash plate and cover it with this cover when not in use.

All the set-ups work flawlessly. Have yet to have a Ford battery issue with any of the vehicles.
