Deep sleep mode activates automatically when one of three conditions is met – the vehicle has been inactive for 14 straight days, the battery voltage drops below 9.5 volts, or in extremely hot or cold weather conditions.

How you can tell its in deep sleep is very easy. Either the FordPass app will notify you OR when you open the door, the Ford animation logo will not appear in the dash when you open the door.
Mine will enter deep sleep if no activity has been used in less than a week and that is with a 4 amp battery maintainer on. Mine will also enter deep sleep in about 1-2 days if I leave the FOB in the cab (you can always hear something activating/deactivating under the hood). Not sure if my truck is normal or not, but it has been like that since new.

This is what mine did when the battery was bad.

Ugh...checked SOC dropped 21% in one day. I didn't do any driving yesterday.

Well I screwed up. I don't think bad, but I could use some guidance.

I just installed the accessory harness like @Buyer2021 did. I tried to make a point of not letting the other positive cables disconnect when I attached my positive cable, but it appears I let something disconnect. I installed the harness fine in the same places at @Buyer2021. (No cutting of the plug needed) I test the cable with the NOCO and all is good.

I go back in the truck and notice that on my dashboard screen, there gear lights in the bottom left are lit up, but nothing else. I go get my keys and the truck starts fine and everything runs normally. I check my SOC and it shows ONE percent. Again, truck starts fine like normal. No extra battery work seemed needed. When I turned the truck off, it went to its old familiar battery saver mode.

I am guessing I might have reset the SOC by accident? Is it set to one percent?

Should do a full charge on the battery now to get it to reset back higher or does it fix itself eventually? What do you think?

Update: I went out and just took off the harness and it gives me the same readings. Actually starts at 9 then goes to 1 percent after about 30 seconds

Good grief @Bobcatou , I can't believe your foibles or luck

For starters, I'd want to know if the 'issue' is only related to OBDLink; I'd unplug the dongle, unpair the phone, start and run the truck then shut it off, wait a while, then go back and reconnect the dongle and app from scratch including rescan for the extensions.

Just do a BMS reset.
The current SOC value is corrupt. A BMS reset will etch-a-sketch the current buggard equation results.

Fresh start.

Good plan. I did a clean install. I got my 12v reading back. SOC is the same. Well actually went up to 10% while sitting there. I think the hybrid might juice it a little

I'd follow @Snakebitten suggestion, either that SOC is corrupt and / or your battery is on its last legs as he described in the earlier post. Either way, the BMS reset sounds in order in this case.

Remember if / when you do that it'll take a long (~8 hrs) period of rest (truck locked with no activity whatsoever) for the SOC to recalibrate, hopefully to a correct value for better or worse.

I think that is what I am going to do. I'm charging the battery overnight. Tomorrow evening I will do the reset so it can get a good 12-16 hour period if needed. I bought Forscan Lite which is suppose to have that function off Apple's app store. Hopefully this will resolve it.

That said, I know this issue with the truck is miniscule compared to others, I've read here. I'm almost embarrassed bringing it up. Overall, I have been quite happy with truck. This is mostly an announance that I dont want to have to drive 50 mintues each way and possibly leave it at the dealer to resolve right now.

@Snakebitten and @Buyer2021. Guess what, I wake up late this morning to find my truck is fully charged now. I unplug the charger and check the SOC and it is at 99%. I come back about 45 minutes later and check and the SOC is at 95%. (This seems normal since the first setting was just after I pulled the charger) This is also with no screens on and my app wasn't talking to the truck. I started the truck and it stayed at 95%.

I HAVE NOT reset the BMS yet. I was going to do that tonight, but now I am wondering if I have to bother doing it and maybe it did it on it's own.

Should I still reset it? I'm thinking no. What do you think? I think there is a battery age settings somewhere in the OBD. I'll poke around later this afternoon when I get some time. If that says 0 or close to it, I assume that means the BMS was resent

@Bobcatou

At this point I'd not juke with anything, just use the truck as normal and see if through all the excitement since the big charge you reported Sunday it's managed to recover, recalibrate, and find a happy place on its own.

All good. Sometimes we just have to wait for the algorithm to do its thing
