I have the solid green LED right now which I think tells me the battery is 100% or fully charged. One step below maintenance charge.
IMO from what you describe I think you're "there", at the highest level of charge your battery will accept.

If you leave the charger connected while the truck continues to sit I think you'll only see the "maintenance mode" if / when your battery is slightly depleted by the (hopefully) small loads imposed even when your truck sits not in use (opening a door and 'waking' the truck may trigger that, for example). IOW, I think maintenance mode it to keep you at fully charged, not to increase the healthy level of 100% charge you've apparently now achieved.

My opinion FWIW.

Thanks...I disconnected the charger. I'm going to let it sit for a hour or so before I check SOC

Better than I thought it would be. No 80 or 90% though. Guess I need to see how things go before I get the sleep message again.

If you can let it sit overnight off the charger the truck may recalibrate the SOC. Please check again in the morning and report back.

Will do. I did take the truck a 10 minute ride then 10 back on an errand. Might have been 15. I monitored the SOC. With power on SOC started at 68%, When I got back home, it was back to 74% Happily surprised. I'll see what it says in the morning.

What cable did you buy to plug in your NOCO? I saw they had two. Do we need the one with the larger eye?

The (not NOCO branded) 'permanent harness I used is linked and 'reviewed' in this post, 1/4" eyelets which mate perfectly with the negative ground screw and an OE stud/nut on the positive battery terminal clamp under the red 'boot' pictured in this post.

The (+) wire slips into the flexible red terminal boot alongside the OE battery cable, I didn't have to remove / cut any OE tape or anything to slide it in there.

Seems like a no brainer

Per Owner's Manual regarding BMS recalibration/relearning:

After battery replacement, or in some cases after charging the battery with an
external charger, the battery management system requires eight hours of vehicle sleep
time to relearn the battery state of charge. During this time your vehicle must remain
fully locked with the ignition off.
Per Ford-Trucks.com website on 2021+ F-150s:

Deep sleep mode activates automatically when one of three conditions is met – the vehicle has been inactive for 14 straight days, the battery voltage drops below 9.5 volts, or in extremely hot or cold weather conditions. Thus, it obviously isn’t a good idea to leave one’s keys in the truck for an extended period of time.
So.. DONT LEAVE YOUR KEYS IN YOUR TRUCK EVER! How you can tell its in deep sleep is very easy. Either the FordPass app will notify you OR when you open the door, the Ford animation logo will not appear in the dash when you open the door.

This one way. There is a manual reset procedure to reset the BMS;

KOEO
Wait till battery symbol appears on IPC
Flash brights 5 times
Press brake petal 3 times
Wait - battery symbol will flash - BMS is reset.

I checked my SOC today. It was at 68%.. 5% down from when I turned the truck off from that shourt drive. Seems like that is normal amount. I'll give it a check again tomorrow.

I got the terminal harness today. I was a little confused on your instructions. Did you just screw the positive (red) to the screw that I am pointing to in the picture. I'm guessing I shouldn't allow the battery to disconnect.

Did you just ....
.... keep it simple, remove and replace one nut with captive washer in situ, no drama ...
IMG_2701.JPG

EDIT - I now recall that I did shave-back the red plastic of the 'noco' connector a small bit with an exacto blade so it would 'clear' the captive washer (apology for not remembering that detail on first posting)

I see now. You got it very clean. Not just attaching the wire and jamming the rubber on top. Very nice. Thanks

Ugh...checked SOC dropped 21% in one day. I didn't do any driving yesterday.

I'd be curious to see resting voltage history on that battery, just to confirm exactly what the voltage curve looks like.

Is it a continuous linear (parasitic) drop?
Are is it the result of momentary activity that results in a traditional hard fall, but then it just never recovers. (a sign of a battery that has been injured in the past and simply too tired to recover a voltage hit)
