So, it has been about 2 weeks since I last drove my '22 Lariat, but my truck is acting like it has had a pretty significant software upgrade. I hadn't noticed this being discussed so wondering what is what? Things that I'm noticing: I normally ride with the fuel economy showing in "My View". Today, I had a navigation routing running on Google Map, which is my normal CarPlay navigation program...but today, my fuel economy got temporarily replaced by a turn advisory showing an arrow reflecting the upcoming turn, along with a distance message to that turn. I never noticed that the Google app was integrating into my Ford software. Previously, Google map was stand-alone...it only showed up on the center screen but the turn spoken advisor did get announced by the trucks audio, but certainly never was it being shown on the center dash screen.
Also, I have lost my ability to activate my cameras while driving, so guessing part of the upgrade replaced the code I had changed in FORSCAN to enable that feature.
But the main reason for bringing this up...I'm getting a bunch of errors relating to driver assistance aspects. I am getting told adaptive cruise is sometimes not available, then having trouble switching to normal cruise; getting blind spot system fault error messages; pre-collision assist not available error message; cross traffic system fault message. When I run an OBD-II scanner, it is generating lots of codes...camera codes; cruise control module codes, etc.
I am under an extended warranty, so guessing I need to take this into Ford, but just wondering if others are having stuff like this showing up or if anyone can confirm if there was a recent software upgrade.
