So, it has been about 2 weeks since I last drove my '22 Lariat, but my truck is acting like it has had a pretty significant software upgrade. I hadn't noticed this being discussed so wondering what is what? Things that I'm noticing: I normally ride with the fuel economy showing in "My View". Today, I had a navigation routing running on Google Map, which is my normal CarPlay navigation program...but today, my fuel economy got temporarily replaced by a turn advisory showing an arrow reflecting the upcoming turn, along with a distance message to that turn. I never noticed that the Google app was integrating into my Ford software. Previously, Google map was stand-alone...it only showed up on the center screen but the turn spoken advisor did get announced by the trucks audio, but certainly never was it being shown on the center dash screen.

Also, I have lost my ability to activate my cameras while driving, so guessing part of the upgrade replaced the code I had changed in FORSCAN to enable that feature.

But the main reason for bringing this up...I'm getting a bunch of errors relating to driver assistance aspects. I am getting told adaptive cruise is sometimes not available, then having trouble switching to normal cruise; getting blind spot system fault error messages; pre-collision assist not available error message; cross traffic system fault message. When I run an OBD-II scanner, it is generating lots of codes...camera codes; cruise control module codes, etc.

I am under an extended warranty, so guessing I need to take this into Ford, but just wondering if others are having stuff like this showing up or if anyone can confirm if there was a recent software upgrade.

If you're on apple beta ios26, the first part of this story makes sense, the nav prompts in google maps are now integrated in the drivers display.

Second part of this story sounds like a battery issue.

Thanks for the reply. No, I'm on iOS 18.6.2. Battery is fairly new, so not sure if that might be at issue. I DID recently put in new tow mirror led lights from Boost Auto Parts. Are there any of the BLIS components actually in the mirror head?

I’m on iOS 18.6.2 as well and just noticed yesterday that google maps is now integrated with ford CarPlay as well. Happy about that

An update I got awhile back that I’m not happy about is when I turn on the adaptive cruise control the lane monitoring also turns on. I love adaptive cruise but hate the lane monitoring . It is a pain to shut off each time so if anyone knows how to permanently shut off lane monitoring, please let me know. Ive tried changing settings in the Vehicle settings and it looks like it shut off but no luck.

Can't speak for CarPlay, but Android Auto has always displayed upcoming turns/arrows in the dash (in front of the steering wheel), not just on the center screen, when navigating.

A few months back I noticed that my bed camera started to fail and only work intermittently. Along with this my rear part assist stopped working (or had never worked) Took it in and they replaced the camera but kept getting codes related to the PAS, BLISS, and lane departure cameras. They ended up replacing the camera, had to run a ton of updates, and recalibrate the 360 cams 3-4 times to finally resolve it which took a listed 9+ hours to complete. After that all everything started working and no more codes popping up with my scanner or in Forscan. I have also had OTA updates jack with Forscan cameras at speed settings a couple times as well.

Hmm...I can't believe I could have been missing seeing this for several years, but I suppose that is possible. Which navigation program do you use, or do the upcoming turns/arrows show up regardless of whether you use Google maps or Waze or ???. Doesn't sound like Apple Maps is likely LOL.

My instrument cluster has displayed upcoming turns from Android Auto/Google Maps since the day I bought my 2024 earlier this year.

Changed my battery a few months back, started getting updates, and now I'm losing out on reverse brake assist. I still have yet to figure it out. Every time I go into reverse, the alarms start chiming reminding me to sever my internet connection to stop the updates...
