New Ford F150 making rumble strip sound?

Driving 2025 Ford F150 XLT V. 8 Supercrew on highway on a seemingly smooth road when all of a sudden the truck sounded and felt like I was driving on a rumble strip? It lasted for maybe 50 yards and then I changed lanes and it seemed to stop and return to the usual smooth quiet ride? Explanation or reason for what happened? I inspected truck and tires after parking 3 mins later and didn’t see anything???

If changing lanes fixed it I would say probably a repair job in that section of road.

I have a 2023 F150 with 13,000 miles on it bought it new in 24 and that had the rumble strip noise first cold Snap last year below 30° brought it to the dealer sounds just like the rumble strip sounds and there’s a TSB for EIWE’s for the rumble strip noise Maybe that’s what you’re experiencing? There was a new TSB that includes 25 year models.

Does your truck have the lane keeping system? I have it and mine is set to "alert only". It shakes my steering wheel if I get too close to the centerline without turning on the turn signal.

Funny you note first cold snap below 30, as that is exactly what it was like this morning, 28-29 degrees and this was my first use - drive of the morning. Sounds like this is something I should call dealership about? Were they able to replace the part and or fix issue with your truck? Very discouraging with a brand new truck that has just over 300 miles.

This might help. I have been waiting for a fix on mine for a whole year. 2525-13 TSB came out first week of November supersede 2421-89.

TSB 25-2513.

I can’t believe this is STILL occurring on brand new trucks. Mine didn’t do it last winter. We’ll see this year. Below freezing coming next week.

Easiest test is if you hit 4H and the noise immediately stops, this is the problem you have.

I live in Minnesota so we’re forecasted for cooler. Weather right around Thanksgiving so I guess I’ll know for sure if mine‘s gonna do it again after the first TSB was performed. I did talk to another Ford dealer in the Twin Cities and they’re willing to take another, look at it and possibly do the latest bulletin on it Time will tell, you would think Ford would have this problem nailed down and get it fixed

I reached out to the dealership and noted the TSB and symptoms I am having and he was familiar with the issue and did not present any pushback on my request that both IWE actuator assemblies be replaced. Have an appointment for after the TG holiday to have them look at this and (hopefully) undertake the recommended replacement protocol. Agreed about dismay that this has not been rectified by now….for what these trucks are costing new….discussing replacing anything at a little over 300 miles driven is more than disappointing!!!
