2024 F150 5.0 Making metal clicking noise from start/stop at low speeds. Bill Currie Ford won't help.

The same noise is present when going from drive to reverse or park, etc. This makes me think it's the transmission. I made an appointment with Bill Currie Ford in Tampa for warranty. The service writer, Melanie, essentially told me to go away when I arrived in person. Despite being told to bring the truck in to have it looked at, she told me no one would look at it unless I left it there for two days AND she wasn't going to give me a loaner vehicle.. Terrible customer service at this dealer. They could've told me they wouldn't look at it over the phone, but instead, they told me to come in and wasted my day off. Not sure how Ford can expect me to have issues with a 50k brand new truck, and not be given a loaner while it's diagnosed. The dealer wouldn't even send someone out to take a quick look to confirm the issue in person. Melanie also wouldn't give me any time frame on when a loaner would be available. She smirked at me and laughed when I asked how long I would have to wait to have my $50,000 truck looked at and said, "I don't know, I didn't check." Bill Currie Ford then called me back after sending me away with nothing to ask how my service experience was... Told them all about it, and the customer service rep told me she w

ould inform a manager about my situation and have them reach out. Guess what? Nothing!

That's incredibly rude and unhelpful. That said, I can confirm that I called 4 different dealerships in the Carolinas for some warranty work on mine and all of them said they didn't have a great system for loaners and none of them had one available for me. I ended up taking their courtesy shuttle and now I'm a week and a half in without a vehicle and can't get my service advisor to call me back... He was great, til he wasn't.

Dealers have gone so far downhill. I'm glad to be out of the basic warranty. My local garage is great. I can walk to them to.

I have to say I’ve had that kind of experience at a couple of dealerships. Then I drove to the dealership that I least expected to get above average service because it was on my way to Bay Area. This was Big Valley Ford in Stockton Ca. They are known for fleet truck sales and Lincoln cars. I drove in to have a vibration issue looked at and my battery as well. The service technician took the truck out with me and drove for a few miles and said front wheel bearing. Took me back gave me a new Lincoln to drive 80 miles home and apologized for not having a truck. Called that evening and said parts ordered over night delivery will try to have all issues fixed by 1:00 pm I couldn’t get back until 5:30. He stayed late to give me my truck and take back the car. Then told me he replaced the vents the knobs had fell off of because of the extra time he had the truck. No charge for anything. Felt like it was 1990 all over again

Well looks like I'm in a similar boat. Truck has been there for 2 weeks. Just got a message from them that it's ready to pick up and they didn't find anything wrong with it. I'm like what? Why was it there 2 weeks then? They can't replicate the noise that I hear literally every time I drive? Maybe they are used to crap sounding vehicles but I guarantee if I drive a new one on their lot that it won't sound the same.
