They work very well from my experience with them.....my only complaint was wear from lots of gravel,which I don't do as much.I'd think KO3s would be far less than optimal in the temps you must see in Alberta. All season compounds and -40 don't often lend themsevles to optimal performance.
In snow/ice they are excellent.
For winter it's all about siping......and they have alot.
They are a year round tire.
