Need major help. Can someone with FORSCAN knowledge help out?

UPDATE: 6/23 the camera issue was fixed. they had to reconfigure or reprogram the BCM and that did the trick..


I don't know where to turn at this point, but to this board in hopes someone can look at the code and maybe find what's wrong.

Backstory: Last year, my backup camera stopped working. Dealer replaced the camera twice to no luck. Then they replaced some other part, which also didn't fix the issue. They ordered the APIM and that didn't fix the issue either. Truck has been in the shop for the last 2 months almost where they tested wiring, replaced wires, some cables to no avail. Now they're ordering another APIM, but I'm sure that when the second APIM gets here, it won't fix the issue.

Last year, I tweaked a couple settings in FORSCAN pertaining to door locks, but nothing to do with the camera. Then a few days later the camera went out. I used the non-hex editing mode in forscan (the drop down menu one or whatever) for the setting I changed. Perhaps that changed something in the hex code? Its unlikely, but I'm not sure. I'll post all the hex configs of every module below in hopes maybe something did mess up.

The module names are listed at the top of each screenshot.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and I'll even donate to whoever will help me fix the issue.

Ill add for the OP. You didnt post the IPMA as build. So If you made changes there also you may still have issues.

The issue you you set the APIM to digital cameral and not analog. the 8" is analog

So you may need to share your vin or the IPMA as build if you still have issues after the change i gave

My compass has never worked and dealership wants to replace the APIM even though they were able to update it. They called me this week that they got it in but I feel the same as everyone on this forum as they are just throwing parts at it and I don’t want them pulling my dash apart to replace a good part.

Also, if you hit the save all button at the bottom you can just attach the file Vs a screenshot. Makes it a lot easier to look at.

so i just change that number from 3 to 2 and click save all at the bottom?

edit: i just tried changing it and a message popped up saying this:

"It may be a typo if you enter as-built data from a reliable source. It may be OK if you change the configuration. The following block(s) have this problem:

7D0-01-02

Continue anyway?"

i did it anyway and it didn't work. i reverted back.

another edit:

so i went into the APIM drop down menu or whatever and disabled and then re-enabled the Digital Rear view camera. There's an improvement.

Before these changes, this was the screen when rear camera would be switched on:

after re-enabling the camera, I now have the guided lines appear, which weren't there before, but still no camera:

this is the setting I'm referring to (except its back to "enabled"):

After you made the change from digital to analog, did you perform a module reset of the APIM in FORScan? Many APIM changes require a reset to take effect immediately. Otherwise, it could take several key cycles.

If you arent showing an IPMA then that is your problem
