The videos of the XS made it seem a little too quiet. This is a good balance IMO.

That part # has 3” inlet/outlet and the case is 12” long and round. Other part #s might have different inlet/oulet sizes that won’t fit or the case could be shorter/longer which would change the sound levels. I put the exact same part # on my sons truck and, like the op, I am happy with it.

The one I used is actually oval but I imagine the oval and round sound pretty close. Different part number.

Sounds the same from the posted video to the #40085 that my son has.

I just listened to the video... I like it... can you tell me if you have any drone on a trailing throttle?

Can you post a start up video?

I used to have a BMW X5 4.8is and I loved both the exhaust note, the start up rumble and it only got loud when the size 10 spoke to it.... I'm chasing the sound like the stock sound in the video below (HATE crackly straight pipe/ blat/drone)

Send me a message with your email and I’ll send you a start up. There does seem to be a little drone between like 1500-1800 rpms but I’ve read it will likely go away once broken in based on others experiences. Not sure I know what trailing throttle is - what do you mean?

Definitely sounds similar to the stock sound in your video but I’d say it’s deeper.

I see that muffler has 3" in/out. I thought the stock exhaust was 2.5"? How were they able to make that work? Sorry probably a stupid question lol.
EDIT: BTW it sounds very nice!

Correct - that is just a muffler swap. Added the black ford tip but that’s just looks.
