I found a fix on YouTube. Turn on accessories, hit bright lights 5 times. Press brake pedal 3 times then the battery icon on dash will eventually blink a few times and it’s reset. Don’t ask me why but it works ?Anyone getting message system shutting down to save battery?
That resets the BMS (battery monitoring system). You need to do that when you replace the battery. Without replacing the battery that trick will probably only work as a temporary solution to your problem.I found a fix on YouTube. Turn on accessories, hit bright lights 5 times. ^^^This. Your original battery is likely an H6; marginal capacity at best for these trucks. The powerboost model battery tray can hold an H7. The non-powerboast model battery tray should be able to hold an H8.Change the battery to a H7 or H8. Many posts on here about this issue.
The battery should be charged to 100% using an external charger before resetting the BMS also. That resets the BMS (battery monitoring system). You need to do that when you replace the battery. Without replacing the battery that trick will probably only work as a temporary solution to your problem.
