Livernois tuner for Powerboost?

I got the Powerboost tune for my new (to me) 2021 Lariat. Installed it on Friday and drove it yesterday.

The shifting is significantly better. Much smoother and no gear skipping. And this is even with the transmission “relearning” - Livernois says to expect the shifting to not be smooth at first.

The power is pretty ridiculous. I haven’t pushed it hard, but immediately experienced the “push you into the seat” power when accelerating on to the freeway and going from 2nd to 3rd. The responsiveness of the throttle is significantly better too. I only drove it in Normal mode andI liked it better than the stock Sport mode.

MPG was 2 MPGs better than pre-tune and I wasn’t trying hard.

All in all - first impression is really good and it appears worth the $

Ordered 8-16 and received it on 8-24. They sent tracking info a few days after I placed the order.

Curious if anyone here with the tunes had the Rough shifting before the tunes? I'm currently on a reprogram and its still shifting rough, so apparently the next step is a new valvebody and then if that doesnt work its a new trans blah blah.

You'd think they'd at least show a little 'know how' and start by actually passing some air over the vehicle to get real-word numbers. Their dyno setup is about as n00b as it comes. I'm guessing they sell intercoolers with proven numbers from their heat-soak'n dyno?

The answer to that question will tell you if they're worth owning. If they will ship to CA, you want nothing to do with them. Given what's happen over the last few years in the industry regarding the reason why they claim to not ship to CA, a truly wise company wouldn't. A dumb one would.

Have it shipped to your buddy in AZ or NV for safe keeping so you can enjoy it when not in CA -- the typical gun owner advice.

Yeah they ship to California. I initially called because of what the website says and they said don’t worry about it. California will fail you on a smog check if the car/truck has a tune. With livernois I can easily revert back to stock beforehand.

Awesome, Ill get mine ordered then. Meh we have like 6 years before we have to worry about smog.

More boost and fuel -- it's a 3.5L ecoboost, so at a minimum it can get the best results of any ecoboost before it. What the new version adds is variable vane turbos to bring on torque even faster.

Real numbers? Never saw any. FWIW, AFAIK and YMMV, it is a noticeable gain in acceleration for the trucks I've driven.
