Between conversations w/ Ford MPH and the dealership, my truck *should* move the two miles from rail depot to dealership either today or tomorrow. Barring any further delays, pictures of an owner's PAT equipped 2024 will be posted by week's end.

Thanks. I didn't think I would mind the wait, and knew there would be one. I guess despite the fact that I was as prepared as anyone going in I still wasn't prepared for THIS. I will watch this thread for as long as it continues and revel in all of you guys trucks and those snazzy PATs! I do tend to trade in every 2-3 years... PAT may yet be in my future....
Don't plan to stick around to see pics of mine, we'll probably both be dead first! Not getting scheduled again this week.

If I’m lucky, my Platinum Plus might arrive late summer. Told my dealer I’ll be converting to MY25. Hard to swallow a year of lost equity. They didn’t seem too surprised!

Not a real life photo, but saw this online. I actually don’t mind the Platinum badging on the gate.

I was just thinking the same earlier today.

Most of the enthusiasm is gone... especially since trucks built after mine are arriving at dealers with similar options. Makes me think something was wrong with it that I will never know.

If there's a steep incentive... but somehow I doubt there will be.

Man, I understand. I still checked to see my order was going to get scheduled (not) right before I cancelled it.

Have a 2024 KR on order - decided to wait for the PAT. In Canada it is very difficult to get any tracking info but patience is a virtue. Dealer said production mid June and at dealer by beginning of July

I ordered a 2023 in August of 2022. It arrived in Feb of 2023. The biggest frustration for me was that my truck was actually built in late November...but it took another 2+ months for it get shipped and arrive to my dealership. In the end I was alright with the total time, and the delivery date still met my expectations....namely that I was getting a 2023 still very early in 2023.

If I am in your shoes, I'm not sure I would want a 2024 truck if it drags on much longer. In an extreme example, a brand new 2024 truck delivered in November ends up being a 1 year old truck 2 months later. Sure it's not a big deal if you plan to keep your truck forever, but things can change and I would want to avoid the big depreciation hit through no fault of my own.

The flip side of this is a one year old truck with zero miles, and mileage is one of the biggest depreciation factors when it comes time to trade/sell/etc...

The "flip side" implies a thing with at least two sides. And I agree that mileage is ONE of the biggest factors. The other biggest factor is age. Maybe condition/how is was maintained is the third side and all 3 are tied for biggest factors.

But as it relates to ordering a truck, especially if it was ordered in the calendar year before, I just don't want to burn have the model year waiting on it's arrival.

To each their own though.

So.. thinking more, basically what it does is remove the option to purchase after the lease (assuming the lease cost is the same regardless of what time of year you take possession).

I always go into the lease planning to buy because I drive ~7000 miles per year. The mileage will be low, but that "extra year" would cost me about $4000. This is what I'm dealing with now... leased my 2019 Rebel in Nov. 2019. If I had gone with a 2020, I would be up about $3K in used value (but I got a heck of a deal on it, so it was worth it.. bought after my 3 year lease for $28K w/18K miles!

After searching for a PAT equipped truck for several weeks, I finally found a King Ranch one and tested it out in person. It was pretty awesome. Definitely odd that Ford allows the 'incorrect' bumper with PAT trucks if you order the BAP, as the trailer wires would get in your way for sure.

Wanted to try it out in person before placing an order. Other than the two vertical body lines (aesthetics), I'd see no reason to not order one. The sales people were supposed to contact me when they received one and never did, so definitely have to check manually every day on dealer's sites.

This is the truck I tried, if anyone is local and wants to check it out.
