I was going to try and sell the OEM covers but you saying tno easy to make that work?
You can probably save them but it’s going to make the job more difficult and I don’t think the factory cloth seat covers are worth much anyway. All I I can tell you is there is a risk in trying to pull the clips out vs. cutting the old covers and sliding them out. I actually broke one initially and decided to go ahead and just cut them off.

I've done the OEM Lariat leather swap on my past 3 F150 XLT's. I just bought a new 23 a couple weeks ago, and I will be doing it again too. I have a seamstress down the road from me that I always take my back seat to, and she cuts out the leather armrest from the covers and uses that piece of leather to cover the hole that is there for the armrest in its upright position. It costs me about $150 for her to do that, and then the cost of the OEM leathers for $200 shipped off Ebay. As suggested earlier, just cut your cloth seat covers off and slide all the clips out. Your fingers will hurt like fuck after getting all the seats done, but I'd rather have OEM leather over katskinz any day. Especially at the price point of both in the end.

As far as the cloth being worthless, they aren't to me. My truck (bought used) had a tear in the drivers seat back bolster. After a little looking I found the cloth take offs on ebay. Both fronts for $100. Swapped the seat back cover with the seat in the truck, took about 20 minutes. And I had no problem pulling the plastic strips out of the clips. Just have to take it easy.
