For the most part mine is calibrated pretty well based on both ACC/Lane-keeping, as well as Bluecruise.
At times I visually feel like it is too biased to the passenger side, but I have trained myself to look at the tire/stripe gap on both sides to compare the gap. I usually find that the gap isn't as pronounced as I think it is by looking forward from the driver's seat.

Note: I have factory tow mirrors so I get a great view of the rear tire and the stripe.

Still, and for no reason that I know of, there are times that the truck is tugging against my light grip, indicating that it wants to crowd a line more than it should. I have learned that if I (safely) let it have its way gradually, and then once I sense it is done moving in that direction, I actually nudge/force it to get even closer than it intended.

Then I allow it to have its way moving back to the center, but still against my gentle force. It seems to "adjust" to this strategy and corrects/improves its real time calibration. It settles to a better gap management for perhaps many miles.

I get the feeling there's a LOT of parameters in play.
Snake, now that you say it. I've tried the same. It does seem to adjust when you let it have its way. Ill have to try that some more.

Remember though that I make it WORK to have its way. :)

In other words, I weight the wheel enough that the AI-driver can only move over at the pace I allow, (I don't want to look like a drunk driver wandering quickly) but I WILL let it have its way. And if it's ridiculous about the gap, I actually force it to eat a little more than it intended.

It seems like something then happens to the short term calibration and it settles/adjusts to a better center without as much indecision.

1000% YES
I DONT HAVE bc
if i look in mirrors the close proximity to the left is actually less than it looks up front, but its still to close for me compared to the right hand side, especially when 18 wheelers are coming at me in the opposite lane., tank trucks here drive like the wind and wander all over the place

our stripes on MOST of the county roads are New, as less than month old as they just put down that horrible high traction aggregate asphalt its rough as 20 grit sandpaper. but then they resprayed the lines with very reflective white and yell stripes

my 16 expedition had steering trim , it would sense you pulling one way or the other and then apply pressure to keep you where you were pointed so the shoulder/arm didnt get tired.
i am surprised the lane centering doe snot do that

i like to drive with left arm, i am finding myself getting tired from pulling against the lane centering, especially on roads with a pronounced groove or divits from trucks
plus my hand fits perfect on the lower cross brace of the steering wheel and my elbow rests on the door, so thats the natural spot, STOP fighting me TRUCK
we need a trim button to let us make very small adjustments for the road way and crown or lack thereof. i will try forcing my will on it next trip to town on the long two lane tomorrow , and see if it will reset or fight me.

I don't have BC, but I find the lane centering in my truck works pretty well, and holds a considerably straight line. Every once in a while, I do feel it's hugging the right side a bit tightly, but I flick on the rearview camera on the center screen, and the truck looks pretty well centered. Just another way to check if you don't have tow mirrors.

It WOULD be fantastic if there was a trim button for the driver!
It would accommodate personal preferences AND allow for a human to adjust for a bias in the calibration-variation that obviously exists.

Ford could even set a limit on the trim in a way that if you request too much trim it would trigger a cancelation of lane-keeping. :)

Brilliant idea sir!

Add that to a "camping mode" setting for ProPower generator mode that disables doublehonk and all interior lighting.

And add a "This Trip" trip choice for our non-Powerboost brothers. They deserve that trip meter just as much as the next F150 fella.

FordPass really needs a suggestion box for customer ideas.

I would just add another annoying thing that needs to change. Often times I wait in the truck while my wife shops. Since we often do the shopping after dark, and since I have a PB , I turn off the exterior lights with the truck running when just sitting in a parking spot. However, when you do this, my max dimmed dash lights go to full bright and can’t be dimmed. Similar to running the generator at night.

I'd classify that ^ as a bug report.

Yea, we need to be able to report those too.

DUDE Perfect
we need to get these ideas up the flag pole
i dont have a PB, but the horn and lights are IMO a no brainer , should be an easy flip of code .
as is the trip choice.
trim could be a program update option. we already have tons of buttons on the wheel that serve double duty

I've noticed the same thing between my F150 (non-BC but has lane-centering) and my wife's 2021 Escape with the same thing. Seems like I have to fight the F150 to keep it truly centered and to make sure it knows I'm holding the wheel. For a system intended to reduce driver fatigue, it sure adds a lot of fatigue by fighting it, so I mostly don't use it.

My wife's Escape on the other hand works (mostly) flawlessly. It's never yelled at me to keep my hands on the wheel, and it does a much better job staying centered. My only complaint with it is that it'll sometimes start to follow an off-ramp then awkwardly correct back into the lane; but still overall better than the F150.

my truck does this at some of the GORE points on the toll road 49 in tyler, it will read the exit white line which is thicker and try for a second to correct towards it.
but 49 is mostly 2 lanes , with passing lanes built in every now and then, but exits are mostly long with very well defined markings .
i figured it was just 49.

My 21 powerboost hugs the left line also. I don’t have BC. It seemed to be worse after I got my level and new wheels so I just figured that’s what the cause was. I’m on my 3rd windshield? and they recalibrate it everytime I get a new one and it does not seem to help it. I usually get annoyed and turn it off but maybe I’ll try what Snakebitten said and see if that helps it at all.

Yes, there is a setting in Sync for how much arm strength the AI-driver exerts on the steering wheel. :)

Yeah it’s in the menus. I don’t remember specifically how to get there but it’s there.
