My 150 tends to do IMO hug the left side of the lane more than i am comfortable with, and wanders between the lines in a weird slow manner. i thought it was pretty normal. i had not planned to have to looked at based on everyone else reporting similar results

BUT yesterday for first time i drove my parents 22 maverick hybrid
i used lane centering and found a STARK difference from the 150

it held the lane, very centered between the lines and did not do the slow wander within the lane, it actually held a very nice profile and was not jerky or anything
i could even let go of the wheel for almost one mile until it gave warning to hold steering wheel
the pressure you needed on steering wheel was less than required on the 150
In my 150, you can let go of wheel for about 1/4 mile to maybe 1/3 before it tells you to grab wheel, and it fights you in lane centering when you try to keep truck in the center of the lane and prefers to get IMO too close to the left line, especially on two lane roads. IMO on two lane as cars approach it makes me nervouse at how close it gets to the left side of the lane, whereas there is a wide space on the right it could be using
so i am thinking i need to go in and see if my 150 needs an alignment of sensors or cameras

i ask if anyone else has their 150 hug the left side vice be more IN the middle?

Mine wanders as well, but tends to hug the right side. However, that's when using BC.
blue cruise keeps you closer to the right?
thanks

Mine has done both. I’m not sure why but sometimes it hugs the right and some the left.
I’m still not 100% comfortable with it but I do like it.

My Mach E lane centers way better than my F150. Both are 2021 Job 1 vehicles with FDRS updates. The F150 has gotten much better with the updates, but still no where near as good as my Mach E. I suspect it has to do with how much bigger and heavier the F150 is over the smaller vehicles, along with steering ratios and other vehicular specifics. I think it is something Ford should be able to compensate for, but hasn't figure it out yet obviously.

my brain was going there with the maverick. its a small foot print. their radar thing is dead center of grill and up pretty high from ground but centered in the grill, and camera is up on windshield like the 150.
its a bunch of computing going on for certain.
IIRC the adaptive cruise thing and camera work together to center vehicle. but on the 150 the adaptive cruise sensor is on drivers side of center lower grill valance
i am sure a calibration test could bring it back in line or allow the tech to adjust the computer???
going to call and see what i find out.
i am really curious as to why i could let off wheel so long. it tracked great even through a curve.
its a good thing as my parents are older and slower in reactions so it keeping them in the lane is a BIG plus for safety of them and others

update edit
i just talked to my dealer service folks and he said YUP lots of folks are having issue with close to left side with lane centering only and blue cruise trucks being closer to the right side.

he asked when i bring it in for the oil change to remind them and they will do the calibration check of camera and sensors, he said can take an hr but he usually can get it done in 30 to 45 minutes

he was very familiar with the smaller fords driving more in center than the f150 and expeditions.

sooo in a week or so i will let him look at it

So mine does the opposite, hugs the right side. I do not have BC, just lane centering.

Yep
Before the face camera and blue cruise turned updated, my truck did a much better job of staying in the center well right of center of the lane. It did not wander back and forth across the lane like it does now with Blue Cruise. There are days I have to turn it off, because I'm 95% sure I'm going to get pulled over for weaving. Before BC, I would use a weight on the steering wheel and it was solid in the lane. Much more enjoyable than now :-(

What's your painted stripes like? I've noticed up here with the crummy roads in Illinois and the edge sometimes being busted away past the stripes that mine will cancel a lot.

How do you do the weight on the steering wheel? Asking for a friend after he tried a 2lb one on the top corner and it still told him to put his hands on.

My '21 F150 does the same, hugs the left and sometimes drifts back and forth. No BC. Even on well-painted lines. Hand gets tired after long drives subtley fighting the lane centering with my natural lane position. But have gotten pretty used to it after 12K miles - I think because I've grown more comfortable with driving closer to vehicles in the left lane.

For the most part mine is calibrated pretty well based on both ACC/Lane-keeping, as well as Bluecruise.
At times I visually feel like it is too biased to the passenger side, but I have trained myself to look at the tire/stripe gap on both sides to compare the gap. I usually find that the gap isn't as pronounced as I think it is by looking forward from the driver's seat.

Note: I have factory tow mirrors so I get a great view of the rear tire and the stripe.

Still, and for no reason that I know of, there are times that the truck is tugging against my light grip, indicating that it wants to crowd a line more than it should. I have learned that if I (safely) let it have its way gradually, and then once I sense it is done moving in that direction, I actually nudge/force it to get even closer than it intended.

Then I allow it to have its way moving back to the center, but still against my gentle force. It seems to "adjust" to this strategy and corrects/improves its real time calibration. It settles to a better gap management for perhaps many miles.

I get the feeling there's a LOT of parameters in play.
