Lane Centering and Lane Change toggle is greyed out!

My dealer updated all of the modules on my 2022 F-150 Limited because the new Lane Change update was stuck. After all of the updates were installed at the dealership manually, the Lane Centering and the Lane Change buttons are Greyed out and in the off position. No matter how many times I try to toggle them on, it comes up with the message "This setting isn't available right now. Please try again later". Its been about 5-days now. So, I still don't have the lane change functionality. My dealer's service manager said that Ford engineering says that there is nothing they can do about it!!!!! That's a heck of an answer! Is anyone else in this boat?

My 2022 F-150 Limited is doing exactly the same thing. I bought it, used, a few months ago and the software update screen was stuck “searching for updates”. The dealer spent a day ”forcing” updates and when I got the truck back the lane change and lane centering options had appeared but grayed out. I get the same message you have in your photo any time I try turning them on. I assume there’s another update we’re waiting for but so far no luck.

I would assume they updated the APIM so that you have the toggles but the IPMA software may not have been updated to support it.

I bet you are right.
And I suspect that a dealership that tells the customer that they "applied all the updates", would be unlikely to say that they skipped or failed to apply the IPMA update, since it can require some tenacity and patience. Both of which are in short supply at the average dealership.

I had this same message pop up and different options than yours were greyed out after updating some modules with FDRS. I did a battery disconnect for about 5 minutes then everything went back to working afterwards.

I would assume they updated the APIM so that you have the toggles but the IPMA software may not have been updated to support it.

@eamatherne Either this, or the IPMA is updated but you are missing the configuration for lane change etc to work. If this is the case, you can enable it easily with FORScan or wait for the OTA that enables it. If you are missing the IPMA update itself, you may need two separate IPMA OTA's to get the features working; one for the software and the other for the configuration itself.

The update above went smoothly. I tested the lane change feature and it worked flawlessly. I haven’t put enough miles on it yet to have an opinion about any of the other updated Blue Cruise features.
