So I was attempting to unlock my truck with the keypad today. Good thing the garage was open. If you enter your passcode it will unlock the door. If you happen to press 5 after the truck unlocks. It will release the tailgate.... I read the manual and must of glazed over that. Anyone else know you could do that? Don’t enter your password twice and click 5 on accident with garage down.

Pressing the 2 bottom buttons at the same time will lock the truck.

Yes, I read the manual from front to back.

SecuriCode Keyless Entry Keypad:

Unlock driver's door: Enter factory-set 5-digit code (or your personal 5-digit code)
Unlock all doors: After entering 5-digit code, press 3*4 button within five seconds
Lock all doors: Press 7*8 and 9*0 buttons at the same time (driver's door must be closed). No need for your 5-digit code.
Release the truck/tailgate: After entering 5-digit code, press 5*6 button within five seconds

How do I use SecuriCode Keyless Entry?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe when you lock out the tailgate from being opened by the keyfob (somewhere in the on-screen settings in the truck), it will disable the 'release the tailgate' feature from the keypad as well.

I have a rubber stopper hanging from a shop truss. When it contacts the windshield, I’m good. I have it spaced to where I have about 6” clearance with the tailgate down.

I have a laser connected to my GDO that points to a spot on the dash to let me know when I'm in the right spot.

My attached garage is not long enough to allow me to park with enough clearance to have the tailgate open when the GD is shut. My pole barn is, but that's a longer (and, in the winter, colder) walk.

We don’t have an attached garage. The shop is a 32x42…..it’s about 120’ from the house.

Cool garage door opener, may have to look for that

Works with Chamberlain/Liftmaster GDOs. They quit making them but I see them on eBay a lot. Don't pay more than about $50, tops.
