I realize I may be opening a can of worms with this question so let me give some insight of my own beforehand. My truck is a 22 4wd XLT SC with the tow package and extended range fuel tank. It has the Bilstein 2.5 leveling kit with 6112/5160’s on 18” Rims with Nitto Recon 285/70 18’s. Current height measured from center wheel to fender is 41” rear and 40” front. My opinion is that when the truck is moving it has less rake and may even be squatting a bit? So what is a good rake for this truck?

I have the same suspension setup as you, but set to 2" with stock wheels, I have 3/4" of rake.

Mine is set on the 4th notch and should be 2”. I never measured my ride height before the install so I can’t really say how much it changed. Originally I liked the way it sits but im starting to think dropping it one click will be a better stance. Also may increase my mileage a little?

Somewhat off topic, what tonneau cover do you have? Do you like it?

It’s a Retrax Embark model sold through ford accessories. It’s the best tonneau I’ve had and I’ve had several on different trucks over the years. It stays pretty dry even in tropical storm rains and would probably be better if I added the seal around the tailgate. Only downside is the space lost to the box it rolls up into.

Mine has a 2” Readylift puck and I also have max tow. I’m currently at 1” rake. Perfect IMO.

1 to 1.5 looks perfect. Anything less looks nose high even though the tape measure says otherwise.
Think I’m going to drop it one click tomorrow. I can’t shake the feeling that it looks squatted when it’s moving.

Thanks for all the responses everyone.

~1" of rake is the magic number for my eyes. It's been a while since I installed the Ford Performance suspension (made by Bilstein), but after settling I think mine ended up being ~1.25".

I have 1/2” on Eibach Pro Truck coilovers measured center of axle to bottom of fender. I agree with the 1” being the ideal amount. The nose of these trucks when viewed from the side seems to make it look higher than it actually is.

Nice truck! Ate those Tremor wheels painted gloss black? What size tires? Any rubbing?
