My 2024 KR PB has Active Park Assist (not parallel).
The hands free parallel/perpendicular parking is APA.

What does your button do? We still had the physical button with the "delete," but it only gave a "Navigate to Parking" soft button when pressed. You should also have another "Active Park Assist" soft button with APA.

Thanks for clearing that up, Chrisy and LN7. The Ford website does not list the HUD in the KR build your own (see missing in the details below). The site mentions "all Lariat features" like the Platinum does but the Platinum does call out the HUD in the 702 equipment group. Confusing.

It's very confusing. Another example is people have confirmed the 2025 (like the 24) KR come with active motion / massaging front seats, but that's not listed anywhere as far as I can tell.

There is only 1 trim level on the 25 KR and I didn't see where a HUD was available. I could only find HUDs on Platinum and high trim Lariat 502.
I have HUD on the platinum with 703A

That way at any given time they can discontinue the seats due to inventory issues and nobody can complain, especially new buyers who didn't even know that was a thing.

Unless I missed something, 'Active Park Assist' hasn't been available on F150s since early 2022 (starting with chip shortage).
When I was parking a '24 Platinum the end of my test drive, the wheel started spinning harder under my hands. It made it in a single pass, whereas given the tightness of the lot and the unfamiliar vehicle, I would have backed to straighten.

oddly, I suppose, I care more about it for narrow spaces than parallel parking. Back in college, I could put a '72 Impala into a space with only an extra foot or so in a single pass. (no, I wouldn't try that today without a *lot* of practice*)

Ah I gotcha, sounds like 'adaptive steering' is what you're looking for. I don't have a clue how that feature has fared into MY25 -

Edit: Found the following discussion for MY24 -

Also heard tailgate integrated step is removed on certain trims for 2025 as well. I know for sure the 2025 Lariat won't have the tailgate integrated steps anymore. I'm hoping this isn't for KR and Platty but who knows.

We have a lot of '25 502As that came in at my local dealer and none of them have the integrated tailgate step. Also power up/down is now with the bed utility package; just integrated steps are removed as it seems.

You mentioned “active parking assist”, this was not available in the 2024’s either, so doesn’t really apply to your question. Things that DID change is that the lay flat front seats are not available, the keypad is a dealer installed option vs standard, blue cruise trial period for 2025 is for for 1 year, and is version 1.4.

Manual Park Non-Assist is the best feature of any car/truck. If you haven't learned how to use your damn mirrors by now, you shouldn't be allowed to get a DL, IMO.

From all indications, not only are parking spaces, but also garages, are smaller than they were, "in the day". When I started driving, finding a parking space for my '70 Pontiac Catalina wasn't a daunting task. Now, I have to be judicious as to which parking lots I chose to use for anything larger than a mid-size vehicle. (Yes, including 157" WB F-150 I currently drive...)

As to garages, I have a neighbor who backs his truck into the garage, shuts the door on his hood, and leave about a foot of truck jutting out into the driveway at a house build about a decade ago.

Hooo boy do I have a good garage then. Previous owners of house built garage such that their mid 2000's f250 crew cab long bed would fit in there with several feet to spare in front and behind it at the same time. My '96 ram 2500 extended cab long bed with a tommy gate on back and boss snowplow on the front will also fit with room to spare.

yeah. in spades.

when I was in exile in Pennsylvania, if I parked my e-150 at k-mart, all four tires were sitting on the white space lines.

And when my wife needed to take the driving test, I asked how much they adjusted the parallel parking space for the full sized van, as it was longer than the space.

I got back a snarky "the space is the same size as the parking spaces in downtown clearfield."

uhh, yeah; that's the problem. I'd parked there more than once, and it left both bumpers hanging into the next spaces . . .

My garage is long enough, even with the workbench, that we could have parked the van inside--but the door is too low.
