Went into the wma for the first time in my truck Tuesday and yesterday get a pop up saying active air dam fault. Go look and it's stuck open. I guess it's time to go ahead and remove it.

you could pop that back in with your hand. I would look at getting a 2" lift. then perhaps you could still keep the air dam for highway.

On the plus side, after you remove it your approach angle will get better. (The fixed dam is flexible, so I don't mind bending it.)

Whats sad is I was only riding slow with the kids looking for deer and the wild horses. Only ran over small shrubbery and stuff like that. Pretty much stayed on roads and a couple trails might have made it to 25mph a couple times on the main roads.
I assume the shrubbery took it out but damn it didn't take much.

Yeah, kit to put same plate as Tremor. Removes both air dam.

I removed the active air dam not long after buying truck because of issues.

Yeah I'd eventually like to put that on my truck. Right now I'll have to settle for just remove and cut

I never got an error message when mine was sticking. I never hit anything it just started sticking down in roughly the same spot. They replaced both the actuators and it’s been good since. I do believe in my case there is an updated inner spoiler part that is stiffer, but your 23 probably has it (?)

It popped up once and had a Loud ding saying it then went right away. Barely had enough time to read it. When I went pop it back in its real wobbly . I've never messed with it before to know a difference if it's worse or not but it's pretty bad. Lol.

It’s fairly easy to unbolt the entire system and toss it in the trash.

I pulled the bumper to have better access to all the bolts that hold the dam hardware on (hehe).

when removing the bumper be damn careful to unplug all of the wire harness clips. I missed one and ended up ripping two wires, which resulted in pulling apart the wire harness and solder repairing the two wires.

Turned a 1-2 job into a 4 hour job - which is pretty typical when I try and wrench on the truck.

very interesting, good information to know. I didn’t think the air dam was to the toy until about 35 mph.
