Looks like leaking out to me.
I'd clean it off see if it comes back before heading to dealer. Save that pic for reference.

i wouldn't chance a bad repair on that; it's considered a weep and not a leak

if it's not hitting the ground it's not a concern

On a new truck I would say not normal. Would have it looked at.

What is the downside of leaving this alone?

the downside is you don't have your tcase field rebuilt. I'd be surprised if the dealer even bit on it.

check the level and note it hasn't gone down any.

Gets worse and it’s out of warranty. Then it’s on your dime

You should be checking levels regularly... say once a year unless you have an indication of leakage. Then more frequently. In this case check level right away, then in say a couple thousand miles. Take a look underneath every week to ensure the weepage isn't getting worse. Once you establish what the leak rate is or isn't adjust your look see interval.

I would classify that as a "weep" as well. How many miles on the truck? That said, I'd be inclined to not open that up if I didn't have to, but I also agree if it gets worse and your warranty expires, it can get expensive.

41k miles. Dealer said they’d look into it next week. I don’t want it to be a bigger problem down the road
